In 2015, Cardiff Council became a Living Wage accredited employer. To achieve this accreditation, a group of prominent Cardiff employers joined forces to form the Cardiff Living Wage Action Group and launched a three year action plan to make Cardiff a Living Wage City. There are currently 227 Cardiff Living Wage employers signed to the scheme and the city is well on the way to exceeding their initial three-year action plan. More information can be found here:

Great to see how Central Quay is coming on. Juliet Gamlin recently visited the site for a tour of the development, specifically Plot 1 Central Quay, overlooking The Brewhouse and plot 2 of Central Quay. The Central Quay development is part of a 6.5 hectare mixed use regeneration scheme immediately south of Cardiff central train station, creating a new destination to live and work in, whilst retaining the legacy of the original Brewery by retaining the iconic chimney stack and bringing the historic Brewhouse back into use. Find out more on the development here: https://lnkd.in/eKQK6Wwh

Room with a view in Cardiff!! As Central Quay continues to move forward, I thought it would be good to share the magnificent views from the 28th floor of Plot 1 Central Quay, overlooking The Brewhouse and plot 2 of Central Quay. Thank you to Alexandra Brown of Legal and General Investment Management for the fantastic tour and overview of the works to date, creating new homes here in Cardiff. Great views despite a grey and wet day! Rhys Thomas, Andrew Caruso, AIA, NCARB, Sarah Richards

It's hard to believe it has been 15 years since St.David's shopping centre opened in the city, occupying one third of the city centre and catapulting Cardiff to become one of the UK’s top shopping destinations. Today, the shopping centre is the retail heartbeat of Cardiff's city centre with with a total of 1.4m sq ft of retail space and creating more than 1,500 jobs, as well as being home to more than 300 apartments with rooftop gardens above the shopping centre. And it doesn't stop there, owners Landsec, are continuing to invest in Cardiff with plans underway for a new city square. The £17 million scheme includes plans for new play places for families with a water fountain splash pad and park, performance space with staging, landscaping and cycle parking spaces as well as two new restaurants and kiosks. We look forward to see the next chapter of St.David's take place, which will unlock even more potential for Cardiff.
