ISC2 London Chapter

Dear Members, As we are over half way through another year, I thought this would be a great opportunity to thank all our ISC2 London Chapter volunteers and to welcome our new volunteers. The ISC2 London Chapter has been in full flight now since our first chapter meeting in January 2018. We have had countless amazing speakers educating and entertaining our members across a variety of topics, sponsors which enable us to be operational and hosts providing venues and catering. Our membership has grown to 2,000 now and for the last 3 years we have coordinated 10 events each year, with next year promising to be even greater with more virtual events in the calendar. Tuesday 28th May saw the ISC2 London Chapter facilitate another amazing event hosted by Mark Walmsley and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. The topics were very much centred around 'behaviour', from a people perspective and towards behaviour in the Cloud. How we behave and how behaviour is perceived has become more and more central to strategy, as organisations and cyber security as a practise realise how complex it is to change a culture and the behaviours required to provide organisational security. Dear Members, Tuesday saw our event back at Investigo, which was dedicated to talking about all things mentoring. The ISC2 London Chapter is not entering the mentoring program space, but we do want to offer a platform where people come, share their experiences and stories and get advice from those in the industry. And to that effect we had some great discussion based on the experiences and guidance shared by Tinesh Chhaya, Marc Avery and Anthony Enoh ranging from their experience with mentoring students to their collective passion for wanting to 'give back' to the community.
