With ink drying on the contract, we are delighted to confirm the sale of a 20MW project comprised of four NEPTUNE V units to La Française de l’Energie SA (FDE), for deployment in the first phase of Hydrogen Hub Agder in Norway. The project is owned by Greenstat, a subsidiary of FDE, and will be dedicated to supplying the maritime industry with green hydrogen. Hydrogen production is expected to start in late 2026. The second phase, planned to launch in 2027, is expected to be an additional 40MW.   Dennis Schulz, CEO of ITM, said: “The Nordic countries present an exciting opportunity for green hydrogen, and it is a privilege that FDE has selected us for the Agder Hydrogen Hub in Norway.”   Antoine FORCINAL, P. Eng., CEO of Française de l'Energie, said: “We are delighted to work with ITM as a partner for the supply of an integrated electrolyser solution for our Agder Hydrogen Hub project, one of the largest green hydrogen projects in Norway.” https://lnkd.in/eJUP_9Ab #hydrogen #ports #maritime #energy

The United Arab Emirates expect substantial demand growth from various channels, with the top three anticipated to be aviation, shipping and aluminium production. To meet the steep demand growth, by 2031, in just 6 years, the UAE is forecasting a required domestic electrolyser capacity of approx. 8.7 GW, and green hydrogen contributing 20% more to the mix than blue hydrogen. By 2050, the country aims to reach net zero, with 208 GW of electrolyser capacity installed. The UAE have an ambitious strategy and action plan to becoming a leading producer of clean hydrogen: https://lnkd.in/eg34BNQK Thank you for the organisation, Valeria Maria Aruffo and Cornelius Matthes, Dii Desert Energy. More good news! We have been contracted by a European energy company to jointly develop a standard design configuration for a 10MW green hydrogen production plant. Our customer intends to deploy this plant design in several projects across the UK. The design will combine two of our NEPTUNE V plug-and-play 5MW electrolyser systems.   The UK has ambitious targets for producing green hydrogen, with the aim of 6GW installed capacity by 2030, aided by the Hydrogen Allocation Rounds (HAR). HAR2, for example, aims to support up to 875MW of capacity.   Dennis Schulz, ITM CEO, said: “This agreement with yet another large-scale European energy company further cements NEPTUNE V as the clear leader in its class. The 10MW configuration will allow our customer to deploy projects rapidly across the UK.”   #energy #greentech #hydrogen #uk #eu

  • Exciting real-world progress as the installation of the first 100MW of skids is completed, with our TRIDENT stacks to follow soon. #energy #greentech #hydrogen #innovation

The first 100MW of ITM Power's TRIDENT skids have been installed in Linde Engineering's HYPEM modules for RWE's lighthouse GET H2 Nukleus 200MW project in Lingen. In just a few weeks from now, Linde will start collecting the first 100MW of our electrolyser stacks - soon to be installed in what will be the world's most advanced, biggest PEM electrolyser plant in operation on earth. Meanwhile, the second 100MW of TRIDENT skids are progressing well in production. Photo: Just a few months ago, Germany's Vice Chancellor and Minister for Economy and Climate, Robert Habeck, joined us to celebrate the inauguration of RWE's 14MW pilot plant in Lingen. Built with our alkaline friends from Sunfire, who will contribute the third 100MW line on the Lingen site, the pilot allows our customer to gather relevant operational experience with our respective technologies before taking over our XXL plants. CEO RWE Generation SE

GET H2 is our 300 MW electrolyzer project, we are currently erecting in #Lingen. 2/3 of the capacity we are doing together with ITM Power - PEM electrolyzer technology and Linde as contract partner. Around five months after taking FID on the total project, it was a good moment together with my board colleage Dr. Sopna Sury to look how far ITM is with the production of the electolyzers in their facilities in #Sheffield, UK. But before getting in touch with our stacks, which are almost ready to ship for Line 1 to our site in Germany, i had to undertake a laborartory electrolyser build up and commissioning competition .. ITM is testing their membranes in this laboratory: its durability and development latter! A pre qualification session for me you may say 😉, a development and testing step on European electrolyzer technology for ITM. Its a good signal that the technology is developed in the UK, in Europe and gets alive with RWE in Lingen. First time already 2024 in our 5 MW pilot section and the next 100 MW going online 2025. 👉In a nutshell: we are on time underway. The Linde, ITM and RWE team, all the colleagues in the project are fully energized and with fun and professionalism working on the project to deliver a big success! Bravo! New government, same address - back to the Prime Minister‘s office. Our Chairman Sir Roger Bone and I had a constructive discussion in 10 Downing Street on the economic opportunities green hydrogen and the domestic manufacturing of electrolysers pose for the UK.

In what is turning into a massive, multi-billion industry, ITM Power has a strategic opportunity to grow substantially over the coming years. We shared the view that government must support and prioritise domestic supply chains for electrolysers and associated jobs, especially when taxpayer money is involved. Ed Miliband, Secretary of State for Energy and Climate, said - “Let's spell out what this future means: jobs building carbon capture and storage, jobs manufacturing electrolysers for hydrogen” - we are here to make that happen. In today’s times this is not only an economic question, but increasingly also one of energy and critical supply chain independence.
