    New LH₂ Trailer: Mobile with minus 253 °C Hydrogen plays a central role in the global energy transition. How to get it to the customer? Linde Engineering's answer: With its new liquefied hydrogen (LH₂) trailer. Multi-layer insulation (MLI) makes ultra-low temperature on the go possible. The inner container is surrounded by several layers of insulation and vacuum. The heat transfer rate of less than 100W from the ambience towards the stored LH₂ in combination with the high payload and the operator friendly handling makes the new LH₂ trailer the best performing trailer worldwide. Ready for a global market The three main global markets – USA, EMEA and South Korea – have significant differences in the relevant road and transport regulations. These have a major impact on the dimensioning of some main components, though the basics for the thermal and mechanical design remain the same. Linde’s design and fabrication strategy takes this into account by applying local manufacturing cooperations while keeping the product ownership in Schalchen, Germany. Today, filling stations for diesel worldwide are still mainly supplied by tanker trucks.     Milestone in the Cap2U Carbon Capture Project 🚀 On Wednesday, we celebrated the groundbreaking of the Cap2U carbon capture project by Linde and Heidelberg Materials in Lengfurt. Andreas X. Müller from Linde Gas Germany and Christian Knell from Heidelberg Materials Germany welcomed around 50 guests. The joint venture "Capture-to-Use" (Cap2U) will put a carbon dioxide separation and liquefaction plant into operation in 2025, processing around 70,000 tonnes of CO₂ from cement production annually. This processed CO₂ can be used in the chemical and food industries, such as in carbonated mineral water. The project is being planned and built by Linde Engineering. We are proud to contribute to reducing the CO₂ footprint in the cement industry with this project. This marks the start of an important chapter towards a circular CO₂ economy.     🎊Yara's renewable hydrogen plant at Herøya, Norway is officially open!🎊 Today we celebrate a major milestone in our decarbonization journey as we're now producing renewable hydrogen and ammonia. We're also thrilled to share we've already delivered the first tonnes of fertilizers made from renewable ammonia produced at the plant to Lantmännen! 🎉 Yara's renewable hydrogen plant is the largest of its kind currently in operation in Europe, and here, hydrogen is produced with electrolysis of water and renewable energy, replacing natural gas as feedstock and annually cutting 41,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions from the site. ♻️ We’re also working to enable the hydrogen economy by producing low-carbon ammonia with carbon capture & storage (CCS). Essential to reach the Paris Agreement, low-carbon ammonia and CCS is a critical step to decarbonize rapidly and profitably. While Yara is uniquely positioned to deliver decarbonized solutions quickly and at scale, the green transition will require investments, predictable framework conditions, funding, affordable renewable energy, and a market where demand and supply are developed simultaneously. 🤝 We're honored to have partners and customers who share our vision, as this transformation requires efforts across the full value chain.     📢 Reflecting on a successful ACHEMA 2024, where the latest technology trends and solutions for the process industry were showcased. This year's event provided a crucial platform to exchange and tackle the challenges and use opportunities of the green transformation in our industry. As the Chairman of the ACHEMA Committee, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all exhibitors and visitors! Here are my three key takeaways: 🌍 Green Transformation: Addressing the urgent need for a sustainable and climate-neutral future, the path to Net Zero and the role of the process industry in decarbonizing various sectors. The transition comes with challenges, but also immense opportunities for competitive advantage. My Advice here: Be flexible, brave and bold. We need to be bold in our decisions because we owe it to the next generations to start the change towards renewable energy sources now. 🤝 International Cooperation: Emphasizing the importance of global collaboration to overcome regulatory and technical barriers. ACHEMA 2024 exemplified international exchange and partnership. 🔍 Innovations at ACHEMA 2024: Encouraging everyone to explore the six innovation themes, the hydrogen special show, the future laboratory, the start-up area, automation forum, SEFA theatre, AIRA robot challenge, and the CxO round table. I was particularly excited about the advancements in apparatus and plant engineering. A special thank you to my incredible team at the Linde Engineering stand and the fine colleagues from ITM Power who joined us to showcase what we have already achieved together. Your hard work and dedication were truly appreciated! It was also an honor to welcome the Saudi delegation led by His Excellency Deputy Minister for Industry Affairs, Eng. Khalil Ibn Salamah along with the Deputy Minister for Industrial Strategies and Sectors and the CEO of the National Industrial Development Center. Your visit and engagement were highly valued. I also had the privilege to join a panel discussion on "Mastering the global challenge of green transformation in the chemical industry" alongside esteemed panelists HE Eng.
