  • Introducing the 💙 #Returner 💙 banner. Inspired by Courtney Summer Myers 🇬🇧 and the powerful #Desperate movement, we’re excited to launch the #Returner banner. At ivee, we believe career breaks should never break careers. A career break is nothing to hide - it’s a badge of strength. 1.5 million women in the UK are currently on a career break. These breaks aren’t gaps, they’re growth periods. From developing resilience to mastering time management, women returners come back with skills that are both invaluable and often overlooked. Yet, returners remain one of the most untapped talent pools. At ivee, we’re on a mission to flip the narrative. Our platform empowers returners to re-enter the workforce at their true value without settling for less. The #Returner banner is here to remind you that your journey has only made you stronger. Owning your career break shows confidence, optimism, and strength. Career breaks should not break careers. 💙 #Returner #Desperate #OpenToWork

  • “Let there be no ceiling on your ambition, your hopes, and your dreams." — Today, Britain’s first female Chancellor of the Exchequer Rt Hon Rachel Reeves shared a powerful message as she delivered the Autumn Budget. The Budget introduces key changes, bringing new hope and support to the heart of the workforce: carers, parents, and returners. Here's what might impact you: 🔹 Increased earnings limit for carer's allowance: Carers can now earn over £10K annually while receiving the allowance, providing much-needed financial support to those balancing part-time work and caregiving. 🔹 More free childcare & breakfast clubs: £1.8 billion has been confirmed to support the expansion of government-funded childcare, helping deliver the roll-out through local authorities - with a further £15 million of capital funding allocated to expand school-based nurseries. Investment in breakfast clubs will triple to over £30 million, introducing thousands more breakfast clubs for children across the country. 🔹 Enhanced family leave protections: Improved maternity and paternity leave rights and protections against unfair dismissal reaffirm a commitment to support parents as they grow their families and careers. What updates are you happiest about? #AutumnBudget #CarersAllowance #Childcare #ReturnToWork

Navigating the New CSRD Regulations: What Recruiters Need to Know Are you recruiting in the EU or UK? 🇪🇺 🇬🇧 The new EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) came out this year, requiring 5x (!) as many companies to start reporting on ESG metrics - including gender parity at ALL levels of the organisation. The UK is set to release it's equivalent (Sustainability Reporting Standards) in early 2025. For recruitment teams, this means a transition period is approaching where they will need to align their KPIs and candidate sourcing streams with the new standards. This webinar will provide you with a clear understanding of these regulations, including: 📆 Key requirements and timelines 👥 How CSRD will impact your recruitment strategy 📈 Reporting obligations and what you’ll need to disclose ❌ Penalties for non-compliance and how to avoid them Click the event link below to join us!

𝗪𝗲'𝘃𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁! 📊 👇 With less than one week until Rt Hon Rachel Reeves announces the Autumn Budget, but Labour are already making some huge changes… This Monday, major updates to the Employment Rights Bill were announced, marking a huge step forward in securing workers’ rights: ⚪️ Minimum wage adjustments to reflect inflation and cost of living ⚪️ Compensation for short-notice cancellations for zero-hours workers ⚪️ The Right to Switch Off, shielding workers from out-of-hours contact ⚪️ Expanded pay gap reporting for ethnicity and disability ⚪️ Strengthened trade union rights to ensure fair representation This supplements the Employment Bill’s initial protections, like day-one unfair dismissal rights, guaranteed hours for zero-hours workers, and the right to request flexible working from day one. Plus, it bans fire-and-rehire practices and establishes the Fair Work Agency to enforce these rights. We’ve gathered invaluable insights from our community that show just how pivotal predictable work is for employee well-being and retention. The data is clear. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄: ⚪️ 77% of employees rate predictable work as crucial. ⚪️ 60% would sacrifice part of their salary for a consistent schedule, with some parents willing to take a 40% pay cut! ⚪️ 90% would stay longer at companies offering predictable work, underscoring its impact on retention. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀: ⚪️ Boost retention: Employees are far more likely to stay with companies that offer predictable schedules. ⚪️ Support well-being: Predictable hours reduce stress, leading to lower burnout and absenteeism. ⚪️ Stay competitive: As Labour's reforms push for stability, businesses that prioritize predictable work will attract and retain top talent. Predictable work is the future—and businesses that embrace it will succeed. Watch our founder, Amelia Miller, receive the University of Cambridge Downing College Cambridge Young Alumni of the Year award! 🥇 This incredible honour recognises Amelia's leadership in building ivee and her dedication to closing the gender pay gap. During her speech, Amelia highlighted a stark reality: the motherhood penalty is still alive and kicking. 90% of career breaks are taken by women, and 85% of these women struggle to return to work. This simply isn’t good enough, and we’re committed to changing it. This problem accounts for a staggering 80% of the UK's gender pay gap. At ivee, we use technology to combat this problem, providing AI personalised upskilling for women returning to work, along with confidence-boosting bootcamps and a supportive community. Plus, we connect them with vetted employers offering the flexibility they need. Thank you to University of Cambridge Downing College Cambridge for recognising the problem we're on a mission to solve. Let’s make returning to work work—for everyone. #WomenInWork #ReturnToWork #CambridgeUniversity #ivee #GenderEquality

  • It's World Menopause Day! Did you know that only 10% of UK employers have a menopause policy in place, even though 1 in 4 women say menopause symptoms have made them consider quitting their job? The impact is enormous. The UK government estimates that retaining women going through menopause could add a staggering £7.4 billion to the economy every year. Menopause can affect women’s health, confidence, and productivity—but with the right support, it doesn’t have to push them out of the workforce. Employers create inclusive, supportive environments can keep this experienced talent and unlock incredible value for their companies. We urge employers to break the silence, take action, implement menopause policies, and ensure the workplace is a space where women can thrive at every stage of their careers. What can we do to break the silence around the menopause? #WorldMenopauseDay #Menopause #InclusiveWork

Our first trade show!✅ We're at LegalGeek and one eye-opening stat we keep hearing: 55% entry-level lawyers are women, yet only 15% of law firm partners are female. We spoke with countless women at the conference, all facing the same barriers to growth in their careers. It’s clear that law firms need to rethink their policies to better support women through different stages of life and career progression. Change is overdue, and we’re here to push that conversation forward. #LegalGeek #TradeShow #ReturnToLaw
