It's great to be in London this week as part of LME Week, hosting meetings of the IWCC Copper and Joint Statistical Committees, as well as attending the Chinese Non Ferrous Industry Association event this morning and the ICA Seminar last Friday. We look forward to engaging with and representing IWCC members over the rest of the week's events. #copper #lmeweek

🌍Sustainability in Focus: Copper and Copper Alloy Life Cycle Assessment 🌍 With sustainability becoming more important than ever, I’m excited to share that the IWCC has completed a comprehensive ‘cradle to gate’ Life Cycle Assessment model for all copper semi-fabricated products. This report provides valuable insights into the carbon footprint across the entire copper supply chain, offering detailed breakdowns of emissions at each stage of the life cycle. We would like to thank to the International Copper Association (ICA), the Copper Development Association (CDA), and all our members who contributed their time to support this important study. Together, we’re making strides towards a more sustainable future! The full article is available here: https://lnkd.in/gv_h4yFe #copper #sustainability #LCA #ESG

Thank you to our members who joined us in Duesseldorf this week! We held meetings for two of our European Product Committees - our Copper Bars Committee and Rolled Metal Committee. We covered a range of topics from economic and business conditions to the increasing amount of regulation. We also were delighted to be joined by Jon Barnes from Project Blue to provide expert analysis and insights on the latest global and product-specific industry trends. #copper #brass

A great meeting of our IWCC Regulatory Affairs & Advocacy Committee in Vienna this week. We had a packed agenda and day full of discussions covering topics affecting the semis industry including... ▪ EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism - CBAM ▪ Rules of Origin requirements ▪ Recycled Content methodologies and declarations ▪ Global metals and mining standards consolidation As always, we also enjoyed time for networking and less formal discussions over a committee dinner of traditional Austrian cuisine. Very grateful to John C. H. Lindberg FRSA from ICMM, and Quentin de Hults and Anna-Maria Karjalainen from International Copper Association Europe for their presentations and contributions, and to Frank Otten for chairing the committee discussions. #copper #brass
