🌟 Really delighted to have Lead a Major Study Published in Lancet Oncology 🌟 I am beyond thrilled to announce my very first-author paper in #LancetOncology and it just happens to be about disparities in access to cancer treatment–a subject I am deeply passionate about and committed to addressing. This publication is a result of an incredible collaboration and aims to tackle one of the most urgent global health challenges: ensuring equitable access to vital cancer treatments. As cited in the University of Oxford, Department of Physics press release, “We found that lack of specialized equipment and technical staff are key barriers to improving cancer treatment and survival in former Soviet Union countries.” The major new study covers former Soviet Union countries encompassing the Baltics, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Caucasus, highlighting critical gaps in diagnostic imaging and radiotherapy technologies. By addressing these barriers, we can significantly improve cancer outcomes and survival rates in these regions. 🔍 Key Contributors: Vesna Gershan (International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Austria) Eugenia (Nina) Wendling and David Pistenmaa (International Cancer Expert Corps, USA) Jamal Khader (Jordan) Taofeeq Ige (Nigeria) Mimoza Ristova (Skopje, N.
