We completed this base build landlord fitout for Bowmer and Kirkland which included some lovely bespoke items. Our favourite piece was the unique bespoke ceiling hanging lighting feature. We were pleased to see this SpaceInvader intent come to life by using tubes sourced from just 5 miles from our workshop! The project was completed to BREEAM standards, obtained FSC certification, and also looked fabulous – well done to all involved. Great result! Showcasing another completed project, for @mindspace.me We designed, manufactured and installed the bespoke joinery on this scheme, there was a series of phone booth rooms, a concierge area, and a bar. Working closely with the design team, and operational staff to ensure the items looked great and function perfectly. From the un-prompted issue of a clear programme including design periods, sign off periods, manufacture and install periods, right through to completion and sign off. All of which was achieved. The design process was relatively smooth and nothing appeared to be a hassle to yourself as there were multiple small detail changes requested. The quality of the finished products are really high and the guys on site were very easy to deal with. Check out this Reception Desk that is currently progressing through manufacture for an Educational Establishment. This is fully clad in Solid Surface with geometric form. Meet the Team Neil Jordan – Procurement and Logistics manager. I’ve been with Careys for just over 9 years now. I initially started out in a stores and goods out role as a labourer. Throughout my employment I have looked to expand the logistics team as the company has grown and I have held my current role in the procurement department for around 3 and a half years. My ultimate aim is to work with suppliers that can mirror our company standards and ethics whilst providing us with products at competitive prices. We have a small team, based in our projects office, that micro-analyse budgets and purchasing. The 3 of us, Dave, Olivia and myself work closely with all departments at JCD. From the sales team, through design and production, it is our objective that products hit the various sites within budgets. If you had asked a 16 year old me if I wanted to work in procurement, I would not have known what it was! I really enjoy it when we have to react to pressure projects or resolve certain issues, I think that can be when the team pulls together at our best. Interesting fact: I was once the subject for a story in ‘Pick Me Up’ magazine. #meettheteam
