Delivering full fibre for our partners

About us

KCOM has been a driver of innovation in the telecoms industry for more than a century; pushing the boundaries and pioneering new technology from our earliest days as a local phone company. We’ve come a long way since then. In 2019 we completed the first phase of our Fibre To The Premises (FTTP) network, making Hull the UK’s first truly full fibre city. Then, in 2020, we announced a further £100m investment, growing our full fibre network to many towns and communities beyond our traditional East Yorkshire base. Now we're expanding our award-winning network to hundreds of thousands more homes and businesses across the east of England, creating new opportunities and bringing the benefits of our fibre-based services with us. KCOM Wholesale is a key part of this new chapter and at the vanguard of this new fibre future; committed to delivering industry-leading fibre services to customers through our CP partners and Reseller channel. Network supervisor

It was another long night for KCOM Wholesale ICT & C&J team last night, working to provide a new fibre connection to the petrol station on the A63. Due to the complexity of this job it involved hours of back office, meeting with planning, working with our own highways team to secure to relevant permits and finally arrange site visits with our TM contractor Ashcourt Group! Lighting towers was provided by Craig Taylor from GAP Group Limited,Great service as always and quick turn around with Vanessa Savage We worked under a very tight deadline set by highways England but the team was ready to go. The engineers worked late in to the night coming up against a number of issues but using there knowledge and skills they managed to overcome these issues, the mind set of the teams was that they will always be a way and there was. With minutes left on our permit we cleared the route, pulled through a new fibre feed to the petrol station and an additional cable for future proofing the network. Great work from TLs Dan Patton and Jason Lusby who was on site all night and the pure grit and determination from the engineers Kyle Garrod, Connor Sharp, Jason Oxlade, Andy Harper and Andy Griffin #kcom #dreamteam #nightwork #goingthatextramile #ashcourtsTM #futureproofing #ICT&C&J
