The Architects’ Journal has featured a First Look on One Ashley Road, the flagship scheme to the wider ‘Heart of Hale’ masterplan in Tottenham Hale. The mixed use complex is one of five sites under development by Related Argent in the area, all engineered by Whitby Wood. Composed of three joined concrete frame structures acting together — an 18-storey tower, a 12-storey tower and a low-rise linking podium, the urban site is constrained by various features, including London Underground Victoria Line spur tunnels. Case Study Spotlight: Re-Cladding Projects KDS Architecture are currently involved in several re-clad projects, replacing combustible materials with fire-safe alternatives. One notable project involved a large mixed-use complex, Hardwick Square, a mixed use development in Wandsworth. Constructed circa 2008, the complex consists of four interconnecting buildings, featuring a mix of commercial and retail spaces on the ground floor and residential apartments above. We are delighted to have completed alongside our partners CDR to ensure complete compliance with safety standards while enhancing the building's appearance. The project had some unforeseen challenges but was still completed ahead of programme.
