About us
Ketley Brick is a leading, and award winning, manufacturer of Staffordshire Class A bricks, brick slips, pavers & quarry tiles. The company was founded over 100 years ago and forms part of the Hinton Perry & Davenhill family business which began making Dreadnought Clay Roof Tiles in 1805. Throughout the company’s 200 year history their hallmark of success has been their solid belief in using the strongest clay, combined with a traditional manufacturing process and a management philosophy of looking to the future & embracing innovation. Products in the Ketley Brick range are renowned for their high quality and durability. They are made to Class A engineering brick specifications and have been tried and tested in the toughest environments. Ketley bricks, brick slips, pavers and quarry tiles also have strong aesthetic appeal. They are honest, authentic, traditional, Staffordshire building products. Ketley Brick products have been used on a wide range of projects both in the UK and world-wide. These include self-build homes, house extensions, commercial buildings, retail & hospitality interiors, education settings and building restorations. The company has been awarded several prestigious Brick Awards, including, most recently, 2 awards for the impressive façade at the Victoria Gate Arcade in Leeds. Ketley Class A: The TOUGHEST brick in the country! 🔨 Highly durable and aesthetically pleasing, Ketley Bricks are Class A certified because of their exceptionally low water absorption and high compressive strength. These exceptional bricks are made with Etruria marl, an iron rich clay sourced from our own quarry in the West Midlands. They're almost vitrified in the kiln, giving them a beautiful smooth finish in a range of striking Staffordshire colours. Choose from Red, Blue, or Brown Brindle for your next commercial project, public space scheme or residential project. You can't buy a stronger brick! Our Staffordshire Blue Star Pavers were used for the courtyards & entrance of this property - a Brick Award winner in 2018. The layout of the property has been designed as a series of interconnected spaces with both a main and an inner courtyard. Both of these courtyards and the entrance to the property have all been paved with Ketley Staffordshire Blue Star pavers which match the intensity of the patterned concrete panel on the front façade. Their Staffordshire Blue colour also provides a nice contrast to the red brick as well as tying in with the dark polished concrete floor of the internal spaces at ground floor. The client, Arrant Land, liked the Ketley pavers and felt they fitted well with the Victorian street. Have you seen Plas Hendy Stable?! 🤩 It's one of our standout projects this year, so it’s no surprise that it won FOUR awards at the RIBA and The RSAW Welsh Architecture Awards! 🤍💫 This stunning transformation, designed by Studio Brassica Architects, took home the RSAW Regional Award, Small Project of the Year, Sustainability Project of the Year, and Project Architecture of the Year! 🎉 Every detail of this renovation pays tribute to the heritage of the original Arts and Crafts building. The ground floor, beautifully finished with our Ketley Quarry Tiles in Staffordshire Blue, is a nod to the stable’s past, echoing the original pavers that were once part of the historic stables. A mix of herringbone, stack, and running bond patterns with square quarry tile thresholds define each room, creating a rich and captivating tapestry underfoot that connects the building to its history. Such a beautiful project, let us know your thoughts below 👇 🎨 Studio Brassica Architects 📸 frances comontaguti 🛠️ G. ADAMS CONSTRUCTION LIMITED . . . #grade2listed #brickflooring #interiordesign
