We are pleased to welcome a new addition to the KFM team; Oliver Bramley, who has joined us as our NHS Graduate Management Trainee in the role of Finance Trainee Manager. 👏 This marks the third consecutive year that we have successfully secured a trainee through the prestigious NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme (GMTS) - a competitive programme designed to develop future leaders in the healthcare sector. Oliver has quickly embraced his new role, saying, “I’m really enjoying it! It’s very different from what I did before, but I’m loving the chance to learn new skills. The team has been fantastic and the mentorship I've received has made a huge difference, allowing me to quickly adapt and build confidence in my role.” Currently, Oliver is working on a critical project related to insulin pumps, collaborating with consultants and clinical staff to implement new NHS guidelines for diabetes treatment. Nick Sketchley, Head of Commercial Finance at KFM, commented, "It's great to have Oliver on-board. He has hit the ground running, and already produced some valuable insights into Care Group spend." As he embarks on this journey, Oliver aims to develop essential skills, particularly in numerical analysis, while understanding how his actions impact people in the healthcare environment and building connections with a broad network. We look forward to the positive contributions Oliver will make to our organisation as he develops in his role. Welcome aboard, Oliver! #Graduate #GMTS #Finance #TeamKFM #PDP #NHS #Healthcare

We are thrilled to share that on Thursday 3 October, at the Step into Health Awards, Gavin Jones, our Head of Supply Chain & Logistics, was awarded the ‘Step into Health Champion’ Award! 🏆 This prestigious award honours individuals who have gone above and beyond to support Armed Forces personnel in their transition to civilian roles within the NHS. As a passionate advocate for the Step into Health programme, Gav plays a crucial role in supporting former service members during their career transitions while helping hiring managers understand the unique skills they bring to the workforce. Beyond his work at KFM, Gav mentors organisations like Barnet Council and British Military Fitness, assisting them in developing their own Armed Forces policies and support programs. Gav said: “Being formally recognised as the NHS Step into Health Champion is an enormous honour! Over the past six years, I have devoted much time towards positioning KFM as a Defence People-friendly employer, so this award demonstrates to me that my efforts have not been in vain. However, much of what has been achieved wouldn’t have been possible without buy-in from our staff - at all levels; be that practical assistance, or just encouraging words of support. A team effort...always a little further!” We are proud of Gav’s remarkable achievement and his ongoing commitment to championing the Armed Forces community. His efforts ensure that our dedication to all Armed Forces initiatives is not only upheld but continually strengthened. Congratulations Gav! On Saturday 14 September, our dedicated KFM Proclaimers completed the Great Hospital Hike, not only taking on the challenge but also smashing their fundraising target by raising an incredible £2,130 - 113% over their original goal - in support of King's College Hospital Charity. By supporting the charity, the team is helping to enhance the experience of patients, families, and friends at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This vital contribution goes towards initiatives that promote better health, prevent illness, and improve diagnosis, treatment, and care. Here’s what some of our team members had to say: Debra Buckland, Deputy Supply Chain Manager: "I felt overwhelmed with emotion having completed the hike for a third year. The hospital holds a very special place in my heart, and I’m glad that myself and the team were able to give back." Ali Fevzi, Senior Team Leader: "After the hike, I felt a great sense of achievement that we all finished and cheered each other over the line. More importantly, we raised over £2,000 between us, which is outstanding!" Wesley Tomkins, Receipt & Distribution: "I was very proud to have accomplished such a feat! Thank you to KFM for giving me the opportunity to do this walk and make new friends. I’ll definitely be doing it again next year." The team's amazing efforts are directly supporting life-changing care for patients and helping thousands of people every year. Will the KFM Proclaimers beat this year's incredible total in 2025? Stay tuned! #Charity #TeamKFM #Patientcare #NHS #Fundraising #GreatHospitalHike #Teamwork
