📆 October 10th is internationally recognised as World Mental Health Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness of mental health struggles and advocacy against social stigma. First celebrated in 1992, it has since branched out to over 150 countries.  The theme for this year is ‘workplace mental health’, a topic that, for far too long, has been neglected. To us, this doesn’t make sense.  Your work should be something that fulfils you, not something that drains you.  💚 At Kinovo, we encourage keeping a good life-work balance, a supportive and accommodating atmosphere, and the ability to speak up when things aren’t okay.  🤝 So, whilst you check in on your friends and family, why not ask your colleagues how they are doing? 💚 Lee Venables and 🌅Pippa P. volunteered at the Peabody Food Hub, alongside CEO Ian McDermott (he/him) and Deputy CEO Elly H. earlier this month, where they had the opportunity to spend time with the driving force behind the initiative Eleni Kandylaki, Food Hub Supervisor. Eleni manages the Food Hub and works incredibly hard, along with volunteers, to help those who are struggling to cope and has created a vibrant community asset. 🗣 Elly Hoult comments: “What struck me was that it was more than just a place to pick up essentials like eggs, milk, and bread; it's also a place where residents came together. A couple of the residents I spoke to lived alone and this was their opportunity to connect with Peabody colleagues and other residents. I'm incredibly proud of the work being done here and grateful for the hard work everyone puts in.” 🙏 People like Eleni serve as an inspiration for us all. Her dedication to helping others and improving her community are things we should all aim for.
