King Communication is a strategic business communications consultancy based in Newry, Northern Ireland. We work with businesses based in Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland. Our services include communications strategy, business development, PR, media relations, public affairs, and digital marketing. We work as an extension of our clients’ senior management team, creating an understanding of overall business objectives to ensure communication efforts are aligned with the business strategy. This can include goals linked to sales growth, culture, perception, personal branding and marketplace.     #FANTASTIC turnout for our Members' Networking Breakfast as we launched our packed programme of events for 2025 in the Canal Court Hotel & Spa yesterday morning. Newry Chamber membership increased by 17% last year and the strength of our Chamber lies within our diverse, active and engaged membership of 347 businesses and organisations working collectively to drive the Economic Success of the Greater Newry Area. Alongside announcing our events programme, our President, Edwina Flynn and CEO, Michael Savage provided an update on our lobbying efforts in 2024 and set out our priorities for the year ahead, centred around our three core strategic pillars. (𝟭) 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 Continuing to develop Newry Chamber into one of the largest business organisations in NI with an active and engaged membership base.     We have exciting news as Pure Engineering is set to expand... Economy Minister Conor Murphy has today announced that Pure Engineering Group is investing £4.7 million in its manufacturing facility in Newry. The mechanical engineering firm specialises in the provision of heating, ventilation and air conditioning solutions to a wide variety of sectors including hospitality, commercial and industrial premises. During a visit to Pure Engineering Group, the Minister said: “This £4.7 million investment is a transformative step for the company and a significant boost for the Newry region. The investment and creation of 16 high-quality jobs will support economic development in the area and aligns with my ambition for a regionally balanced economy. “Introducing advanced automation and machinery onsite will not only enhance the company’s productivity but boost its competitiveness and export footprint on a global scale. I am particularly pleased this new investment will include environmentally sustainable features to reduce the company’s carbon emissions which aligns with our decarbonisation goal of achieving net zero.” Invest NI has worked in partnership with Pure Engineering Group since 2019, offering a range of support including software development assistance, innovation and trade advice. The enlarged manufacturing facility will be located within the Invest NI owned Carbane Business Park. Pádraig Mallon, Chief Executive Officer of Pure Engineering Group added: “This investment is a pivotal step in our ambitious growth strategy. By expanding our capacity and creating 16 new jobs, we will be equipped to secure larger contracts and strengthen our presence in GB, Europe and ROI. This new facility also lays the groundwork for future investments in innovation and R&D, driving long-term growth and competitiveness. “The 16 new jobs, supported by Invest NI, include a mix of skilled professionals and manufacturing roles such as project managers, fabricators and engineers. This additional people in our talented team will bring fresh expertise and capabilities. This will help us to grow our services and maintain the exceptional quality our customers expect.” Alan McKeown, Executive Director of Business Growth at Invest NI said: “This investment enhances Pure Engineering Group’s global competitiveness and will create a ripple effect across the local economy—strengthening supply chains and delivering valuable jobs in Newry. “Invest NI is proud to have supported Pure Engineering Group over the past five years, aiding its growth and innovation journey.     Today we hosted an Educational Stakeholder event at our Newry HQ 💡 Talking about career opportunities at MJM Marine to educators and influencers is very important to us. Today we welcomed representatives from local schools, universities and colleges to find out more about our student recruitment through our Navigate Programme. Our guests heard from our HR team and students working with us, before touring MJM's production facilities. By engaging with our school educators and professional influencers, we can help them to guide young people to be aware of the work we do and to highlight the different career paths and opportunities available to them.     #GREATNEWS from our member, Women's Aid Armagh Down who have appointed Colm Meehan & Co Ltd to deliver Phase 1 of their £3 million 'ELEOS' project in Newry City. This will deliver a Centre of Excellence in Newry City which will provide support services for women, children and young people impacted by domestic abuse. Following a tender process, the Newry-based contractor was appointed to deliver the redevelopment of 5 Downshire Road in the city. This will be Phase 1 of 3, for the first of its kind domestic abuse support centre in NI, providing an extensive range of specialised programmes and support services. Women's Aid Armagh Down recently launched their capital fundraising plan to help fund the project which has received £360,000 in Capital & Revenue Funding from the Community Ownership through the Department for Levelling Up, £25,000 from the Pilgrim's Trust and £50,000 from Garfield Weston Trust to date. The organisation hopes to raise the remaining balance over the next 12-24 months through grant support, charitable giving and corporate fundraising.     The team at Pure Engineering Group closed off 2024 with an exciting project with our partners @grantfitout in Co. Dublin to complete a full mechanical fit-out at this amazing event venue @supersocialdublin This unique high-tech games and social venue brings a new way of socialising to the Dublin nightlife and party scene. Pure Engineering delivered the full mechanical fitout including: ·  Multiple floor VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) air conditioning system ·  Heat recovery and ventilation systems ·  Fire/smoke dampers including control system · Gas system including leak detection · Plumbing works including boiler room and full sanitaryware package. This was a super project to work on and we look forward to tracking the progress of this exciting, new, entertainment venue. #hightechgames #socialvenue #teampure #puremechanical
