On Sunday the 4th of May 2025, myself, John Conlan, Matthew Hillen, Jack McElherron and Niall Loye will be taking part in the Belfast Marathon Relay to raise funds for Women's Aid on behalf of MJM Marine. This charity provides much needed support to women and children who are affected by domestic violence. This week we are reflecting on our truly international ‘Women’s Day’. Our incredible MJM Marine team works all over the world, so it is important for us to include our site teams in our activities. Our International Women’s Day celebration of fabulous females extended to our onboard teams who are doing fantastic work in far flung locations. On one of our refit projects in Cadiz we sent personalised cards and chocolates to our female staff on board and our client team to thank them for their hard work and dedication. We had activities right across our entire female workforce and had a great week celebrating. We pride ourselves in #acceleratingaction everyday for our female workforce and across the marine industry. Exciting News🎉 Alan O Reilly, our Operations Director here at MJM Marine has been shortlisted for a prestigious global award - Seatrade Cruise News 'Top 20 Under 40'. Alan has been recognised for his exceptional contribution to the marine industry and to MJM. He will compete against other rising stars in the industry from Europe, USA, Canada and the Middle East. At MJM Marine, we love the theme of #AccelerateAction and celebrating the remarkable achievements of women within our company and the marine outfitting industry ✨ Yesterday, our team had the pleasure of attending Newry Chamber’s International Women’s Day lunch at Killeavy Castle. We were inspired by a panel of incredible women from the field of sports who are leading the change in their industries. A special highlight was hearing from Sósanna Ní Dhubháin, who shared her extraordinary journey to becoming a Lead Composite Engineer at Aston Martin F1 Team! What a busy day! Today we hosted our inhouse event celebrating our 'Fabulous Females' this International Women’s Day. All our female team members who were in Head Office today were invited to an afternoon tea where they had the opportunity to celebrate their ‘fabulousness’ together!
