Education, training, and team development are cornerstones of Knighton Countryside Management’s philosophy—and this commitment extends into the wider community. We’re proud of our close partnership with Dorset Studio School, which allows us to collaborate with other land-based and agricultural businesses to provide students with invaluable hands-on experience in the field. One shining example of this is our long-standing work with Trinity St. Christmas Trees. Over the years, Knighton Countryside Management has planted thousands of Christmas trees on their Dorset plantation. Students from the school have joined us to learn and experience every stage of the process—from planting to felling. In the run-up to Christmas 2024, students had the opportunity to work alongside us and Trinity Street, witnessing firsthand how the local Christmas tree grower harvests, processes and prepares trees for retail and wholesale customers. We are proud to support Weldmar Hospicecare and Trinity Street Christmas Trees Treecycle scheme.

This past weekend, Knighton Countryside Management proudly donated our time and equipment to support Weldmar Hospicecare and Trinity Street Christmas Trees Treecycle scheme. Using our Mus-Max Tractor Chipper, known as ‘The Terminator’, we processed 1,400 Christmas trees into sustainable Biomass Fuel with ease. The trees were collected from across Dorset by Trinity St. Christmas Trees’ team and Weldmar’s incredible volunteers, who worked tirelessly to crisscross the county picking up Christmas trees. Thanks to everyone involved, this year’s Treecycle scheme raised an amazing £16,778! These funds will directly support Weldmar Hospicecare’s specialist end-of-life care for adults with life-limiting illnesses across Dorset. Saturday was the culmination of a 7 to 10 year circular journey for us. Many of the Christmas Trees were planted by our Tree Planting Team for Trinity St. Christmas Trees on their Dorset plantation. This reflects our commitment to both sustainability and our community. Thank you to everyone who played a part in making this possible.
