Today at 10am the Laura Devine Immigration team in London joined the @National Literacy Trust's #Take10ToRead campaign for #WorldMentalHealthDay. We enjoyed breakfast, a book swap and an entertaining poetry recital by our colleague, Emma, of the wonderful Hollie McNish's very immigration specific poem A British National Breakfast (https://lnkd.in/etj8shUk) and They should have asked my husband by the hilarious Pam Ayres (https://lnkd.in/e3iiuS5P). Laura Devine Immigration reposted this
The most recent update to the Home Office’s right to work guidance finally brings the guidance up to date with the Immigration Rules, now clarifying that Skilled Workers are permitted to undertake supplementary employment in any role meeting the Skilled Worker criteria, rather than just those on the Immigration Salary List or in the same profession as their primary job (as used to be the case). The guidance also appears to apply these more generous supplementary employment provisions to all Skilled Workers, regardless of when they entered the category. The resolution of this inconsistency between the Rules and guidance brings much-needed clarity for employers. https://shorturl.at/zGsc9 #ukimmigration #immigration
