It's really great to see Kings Cross shortlisted for the RIBA Stirling Prize 2024. Of course it all started with LCR, and it was our holistic approach bringing together multiple interested parties that underpinned Kings Cross' success. The culmination was the formation of the Kings Cross Central Partnership, enabling an overarching focus on placemaking and estate management. By de-risking Kings Cross to make it attractive to market we created a best practice approach to placemaking, the attraction of tenants, and the sustainability of buildings. LCR, after an initial investment of £32 million, formally sold its stake in KCCP in 2016 for £371 million. Well done to everyone involved in this project over the years, and the other shortlisted projects up for the prize this year. https://lnkd.in/dq-Cwny #KingsCross #placemaking #regeneration #bestpractice #StirlingPrize
