Our archaeological dig in Grosvenor Square has come to an end, and while we didn’t uncover any major treasures, we did find fragments of pottery that hint at the site’s rich history. More importantly, the dig was an opportunity to bring the community together, with local residents and members of the Mayfair Youth Forum learning valuable tips, tricks and techniques from MOLA’s expert archaeologists. A huge thank you to the MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology) team and everyone who joined us for helping us move a step closer to transforming the square into a world-class public green space. We’re pleased to announce the promotion of James Whitty-Lewis and Nathalie Hakim to our UK property business’s Executive team. As Executive Director – Finance, Jamie will lead financial planning and analysis, valuations, and finance support for co-investment activities across the London Estate. Since joining Grosvenor in 2011, he has held a range of senior roles, most recently as Group Reporting Director, where he oversaw the business’s 10-year strategic planning process. He also co-founded our (dis)Ability group, helping to drive greater inclusion across the business. As Executive Director – Co-investment, Nathalie will focus on expanding our investor base, managing relationships with partners, and developing strategies for new joint ventures. Following Grosvenor’s latest partnership with Norges Bank Investment Management, she will play a key role in shaping future co-investment opportunities. Since joining in 2013, Nathalie has led investment and asset management projects, including the creation of Eccleston Yards and the launch of our flex office strategy. Our North American property business has announced a new 10-year lease with Yadav Diamonds & Jewelry at 170 Grant Street, San Francisco. Now occupying 3,425 square feet on the fifth floor, Yadav joins prestigious tenants such as Dior, who opened their flagship store at the property in 2016. 170 Grant in Union Square was acquired in 2005, at which time a comprehensive renovation was executed to modernise the property while honouring its historic character. Upgrades included new building systems, a seismic upgrade and a new window wall façade that artfully preserves the original masonry exterior. Our transformation of Grosvenor Square Garden has been shortlisted in the Future Public Realm category for the Pineapple Awards 2025. This once-in-a-generation private investment in London’s second largest garden square will demonstrate how urban green spaces can work harder for both nature and people. Jane Jenrick has joined our UK property business as Residential Director for the London Estate. With over 20 years of experience in the London residential property market, Jane has held senior roles across agency and client-side businesses. Most recently, she led the letting, design, and management of properties at Warwick Investment Group, following a decade as Head of Lettings at John D Wood & Co. Jane will oversee the performance of our London residential portfolio, which includes 450 rental units and several residential blocks occupied by serviced apartment operators. The Times has today spotlighted our pioneering natural capital project, describing it as "one of the most detailed environmental surveys ever undertaken by a private organisation." For the first time across our three UK rural estates, we've been working to establish a natural capital baseline, capturing precise environmental data that enables us to make informed decisions that enhance nature recovery and climate resilience. By understanding the benefits our land provides — such as carbon capture, natural flood mitigation, and improved air quality — we can better support the ecosystems we manage. In collaboration with Natural Capital Hub at LJMU, we are analysing this data to deepen our understanding of the natural assets on our estates and sharing insights with organisations embarking on their own sustainability journeys.
