Repurpose, Retrofit, Regenerate. Introducing Margate Digital. Alongside East Kent Colleges Group, Jenner (Contractors) Ltd, b&m | Certified B Corp, Hawden MEP Ltd, and Fairhurst, we are working on an innovative regeneration project, breathing new life into an empty former department store in the heart of Margate. The specialist digital campus will offer a range of flexible and interactive media spaces set within contemporary, industrial, and thoughtfully designed interiors. The spaces offer key areas for collaborative skills demonstration, media workshops, production suites, reflective private study areas, specialist studios, and much more. This latest chapter in Margate's regeneration is an innovative case study of the opportunities and possibilities for town-centre retrofit and regeneration projects, and an exemplar of the power of successful collaboration alongside some of our closest industry partners. The Dover Beacon Project is an exciting regenerative scheme that will provide a cultural and creative outlet for the town. ‘The Bench’ building, located just off the Market Square, has been carefully designed by local architects L E P | Lee Evans Partnership LLP and construction work by Jenner (Contractors) Ltd has now started on site. The four-storey building is expected to be completed by summer 2026, and then followed by a fit out of the internal spaces by the prospective tenants. The #Dover Beacon Project will deliver a prominent building located just off the market square to be known as ‘The Bench’ which will provide a cultural and creative outlet for the town. It will have an arts education campus for aspiring students, a business start-up centre and a creative centre.
