Liverpool Cruise Port, operated by Global Ports Holding, recently attended a UK parliamentary event organized by CLIA | Cruise Lines International Association at the House of Commons in Westminster alongside Mike Kane MP, Maritime Minister and Stuart Andrew MP former Tourism Minister. As a key contributor to the UK cruise tourism sector, the port was invited to discuss the industry's growth and challenges. "The UK market is experiencing significant growth, both in cruise itineraries and investment in infrastructure to support the increasing number of calls to the region. This event provided an opportunity to engage with Members of Parliament and ministers on the benefits of inbound cruise tourism, as well as the key challenges to further growth where government support can make a difference." said John Mawer, General Manager of Liverpool Cruise Port.

Liverpool Cruise Port is thrilled to support the second visit of HMS Prince Of Wales to Liverpool. Although the port has welcomed each of the Queen Elizabeth Aircraft Carriers, Prince of Wales in 2019 and Queen Elizabeth, in 2022, there is nothing routine about facilitating these calls. In fact Liverpool Cruise Port is the only commercial port in the world to have welcomed both vessels, a testament to the planning expertise and technical ability of the team, supported by a local multi stakeholder group, enabling these incredible visits to take place. We look forward to welcoming HMS Prince of Wales to Liverpool Cruise Port and to support the week long events, including STEM, mental health and community focussed engagement events and culminating in up to 20,000 members of the public being able to board the vessel for what we hope will be an exciting and informative experience.
