At Moda, combining socially and environmentally sustainable values and standards with commercial value is key to what we do as long-term custodians of our communities. Yesterday evening, our Planning Director James Blakey joined BE News Editor Liz Hamson and an all-star line up of senior industry representatives to talk about the art of combining value with values at #MIPIM, and how the industry is evolving with the ESG agenda to meet both priorities. Keep your eyes peeled for BE News's write up of the session, coming soon 👀 📸 Sian Wilde

Earlier this week we hosted officers from Birmingham City Council at Moda, Great Charles Street – our biggest neighbourhood to date, set to complete next year. Officers from the city’s Planning, Conservation, Design and Highways teams heard about progress on the site, which lay vacant for more than 70 years before work began on the 722-home neighbourhood. Along with construction partner John Sisk & Son Ltd, we also provided an update of social value contributions to date on the site, which include: 🎓 281 people trained on site 👷 30 apprenticeships, graduates and NVQs 🔨 200 hours supporting unemployed people aged 24+ into work 🏗️406 new jobs created, and 432 local people employed ♻️ 46,214 tonnes of waste reused or recycled, diverting it from landfill Many thanks to our colleagues at BCC for coming to see the site and meet the amazing people delivering this new neighbourhood, which along with new homes will deliver outstanding new public realm and amenities to form a valuable new gateway between the Jewellery Quarter and the Colmore Business District.

Throwback to this time last week when our incredible James Przylipiak was crowned the No1 BTR Team Member in all of the UK 🫅 We can't get enough of this video from the moment James realised he'd won, which shows just how much it meant to him. 🫶 A senior resident ambassador at Moda, Angel Gardens, James was given the award at last week's HomeViews Resident Choice Awards 2025. "Since joining us in October 2023, James has had a tremendous impact not just at Moda, Angel Gardens but across the business," says Moda MD Operations Richard Smith. "There's not a single day where he hasn't gone above and beyond to do whatever he can to provide our community, residents and team alike, with an amazing experience, and we couldn't be prouder of James for earning this well-deserved recognition." Massive shout out again to the brilliant Kadira Ali, Mark Wilson and Sophie Corkhill who were all shortlisted for the award - an incredible achievement in itself. 🙌 We're so proud of all of our Resident Ambassador teams across the UK, who work tirelessly to provide our communities with exceptional living experiences. 🏆
