🚨 PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT 🚨 Our client, Azenta, operates a cold room testing chamber for their electronic equipment, but when loading and unloading through the main door, the chamber’s temperature would fluctuate, increasing testing times. To solve this, they needed a way to keep the chamber’s temperature stable while improving efficiency 📈 So, what did we do? We designed and installed custom cold room cabinets that create separate environments for each of their tests. Each cabinet is equipped with its own pull-out trolley, enabling the technicians to access all areas of the test without affecting the chamber’s overall temperature 🌡️ Space constraints meant we needed to incorporate vertical sliding doors inside the cold room for easy technician access. To ensure the doors would function effectively in the extreme cold, we used a counterbalance system, as traditional gas struts would not perform well at these temperatures. By adding these tailored cabinets, Azenta has improved temperature control and testing efficiency, ensuring each test is conducted in its own controlled environment without the risk of temperature fluctuations 🧊

🚨 PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT 🚨 Our client, operates a guillotine that cuts steel into 3 metre lengths. Previously, unloading the cut pieces required two people — a manual and time-consuming task. They needed a solution to automate this process and reduce manual labour. So, what did we do? Our custom plastic chain conveyor now sits behind the guillotine, seamlessly unloading the cut steel pieces directly into a waiting trolley. Now, the guillotine operator is the only staff required, streamlining the process and boosting efficiency 📈 The conveyor needed to handle heavy, sharp-edged steel with burrs while enduring tough, periodic loads. That’s why we chose a modular plastic belt — it’s strong enough to withstand the wear and tear, yet easy to maintain. Any damaged sections can be swapped out quickly without replacing the entire belt, saving time and reducing downtime ⌛️ By automating the unloading process, the client not only improved efficiency but also reduced manual labour costs. 🚨 PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT 🚨 Our client, needed a packing station that would reduce plastic pacakaging 📉 So, what did we do? The client wanted to switch to a paper equivalent of bubble wrap, but their current station was unable to accommodate that. We designed and built a special trial station to test out various ideas with this product, with the final solution required a loading draw and a lock mechanism ⚙️

🚨 PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT 🚨 Our client, needed a solution to their high scrappage rate due to their poor storage system. So, what did we do? Their current system was disorganised and chaotic. The issue was the operators unloaded to posts from the moulding machine then stored them on benches in the area 🪑 Each post unloaded requires a 1 hour cooling time, where they shrink to 5%, before the next operation. We created a rotary stand with a restrictor plate across the top. The advantages of this are space saving in storage, adjustability for different height posts and guaranteed cooled product after the post has done a cycle on the rotator 💥 We restricted the rotation to only run one way so once the post was loaded there is no access until the post has done a full rotation and is cooled off ❄️
