  • 🚀 We were thrilled to host the HealthTech Connect: Speakers and Speed Networking event on May 15th! A huge shoutout to Adel B. and Kelly Klifa for sharing their invaluable insights on the dynamic HealthTech landscape. Here are some of our top takeaways: 1. B2B is the Way Forward in Healthcare While D2C models have revolutionized many sectors, healthcare is where B2B truly shines. B2B approaches maximize resources and foster collaborations that drive significant advancements in patient care. For aspiring HealthTech entrepreneurs, the message is clear: build strong B2B partnerships to make a real impact. 2. Partnerships: Key to Overcoming Fragmentation Fragmentation remains a major challenge in HealthTech. Strategic partnerships between startups, healthcare providers, and tech companies are essential to streamline processes and improve the overall healthcare experience. These collaborations are not just beneficial but vital for sustained growth and innovation. 3. The Evolution of a HealthTech Firm: From Startup to Scale-Up The journey of a HealthTech firm is a dynamic one, evolving through various phases. Initially, the focus is on innovation and market entry. As firms scale, the emphasis shifts to operational efficiency, compliance, and market expansion. Adaptability and strategic planning are crucial for navigating these phases successfully. 4. HealthTech Market Trends: Europe vs. USA There are distinct differences in HealthTech trends between Europe and the USA. The USA is a leader in innovation and early adoption, while Europe prioritizes regulatory compliance and data privacy. Understanding these regional nuances is key for HealthTech firms aiming for international success. Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the vibrant discussions. Let's continue to push the boundaries of HealthTech together! 💡✨

  • A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of hosting the Innovating Women's Health Panel Discussion and Networking event in collaboration with Women in Business Club | London Business School! Our panel consisted of Dr Stephanie Kuku, MD and Sophia Zachares (she/her), moderated by Ashley Ong. Sharing our main takeaways: 1. Terminology and Perception: The term 'femtech' can trivialise the potential market in women’s health and the innovation within it. Labelling technologies specifically as 'femtech' could restrict broader recognition. 2. Investment Challenges: The importance of bottom-up demand creation and top-down regulatory and policy support to foster a conducive environment for innovations in women's health. Companies seeking investment also need to clearly understand what problem they want to solve and what solution they can propose. 3. Broadening the Scope: The scope of women's health needs to expand beyond fertility and menstrual health to include women-specific pain and diseases, reflecting the diverse health challenges women face. 4. Systemic Opportunities: The potential for integrating public health systems like the NHS with private solutions as a promising approach for scaling innovations. This would involve both vertical and horizontal integration within healthcare systems to reduce friction and improve efficiency. Precious K.
