We're recruiting for the position of Director of Safety & Compliance. Are you passionate about the health and safety of people and have proven experience in all thing’s compliance; particularly when it comes to providing customers with the means to live safely and happily? Do you have a track record of leading teams through a significant period of change? If so, we have the opportunity for you! We're introducing a brand new role 'Director of Safety & Compliance' who will be responsible for leading the Health and Safety and Property Compliance strategy, embedding this across the whole of Magenta Living. To be successful in this role you need to demonstrate experience of assuring compliance, ideally within the social housing sector, with extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, including health and safety legislation and property compliance. We are looking for an individual with experience of ensuring the homes and other buildings that customers use are safe, ultimately ‘doing the right thing’ for our communities. We are looking for an individual with a strong background in analysing large data sets, who is confident in understanding how to dissect and monitor this detail to pioneer change, education and continuous improvement across the organisation. We recently collaborated with local organisations and councillors for a clean-up event at Harrogate Estate in Rock Ferry. The area has had ongoing issues with waste disposal and fly-tipping. The community’s response on the day was outstanding, with residents actively participating and bringing items for disposal. Thank you to all of our colleagues would made this event happen. Special thanks to the Community Connectors, a local scrap metal collector, two labour councillors, and our contractor, idverde UK for their invaluable support. Together, we made a significant impact on our neighbourhood. This event highlighted the power of community spirit and teamwork. This week, we joined development partners Starship along with stakeholders and local councillors to see the walls of eight new homes have been lifted into place. This marks a significant milestone following the foundation work completed in late 2024. This development breathes new life into a site that has been vacant for over thirteen years. We’re look forward to seeing these these energy-efficient homes ready for completion by summer 2025.
