Investing in our people is part of our commitment to all our colleagues at #TeamYHG... ...and today we celebrated all our apprentices, past and present, as part of this year's National Apprenticeship Week. We've had 69 apprenticeships over the last few years, with 41 already completed, and 28 still underway, and they range from people starting out in their career, to those who have had a career change, and those who have taken the opportunity to up skill and keep learning! Being able to provide more safe places for people to call home is something we're passionate about, and our CEO, Jacque Allen CIHCM, was invited to speak on BBC News Radio 5 Live Breakfast this morning in response to the Government's £350 million affordable housing boost. Officials hope the money will fund the construction of more than 3,000 homes. Jacque says, “With 1.3 million people currently on a housing waiting list, this news is very welcomed. We’ve always got apprenticeships underway at #TeamYHG as we care about giving our colleagues the space to grow and develop in order to provide the best possible service for our residents. Being passionate about what we do means every role matters because we’re part of one team, and whether it’s in finance, trades, training, or governance, it all makes an important difference.
