A huge thank you to Mansfield College, Oxford for organising the annual Scholars’ Dinner last week, to celebrate those who achieved a Scholarship or Exhibition in their Preliminary Exams. It was great to reflect on mine, and my peers’, achievements from these exams, but also to be recognised by Helen Mountfield KC as the Horton Davies scholar for my cohort, for the most commendable performance in my college’s subject cohort for my second year. I am always also particularly grateful to my fabulous tutors for giving up their evening to celebrate with us! It was great to be back in Oxford this weekend. On Friday night, Luke Tryl gave an insightful public lecture at Mansfield College, Oxford, explaining why British public opinion might not be quite as divided as it sometimes seems… And on Saturday, it was a privilege to be back with some of the other founding members of The Oxford Blue to celebrate the publication’s 5th birthday, with a special print edition to mark the occasion brilliantly brought together by the current editorial team.
