🚀 On Saturday, Marengo Communications had the pleasure of organising and delivering a community design workshop alongside an excellent team from JTP LLP, Lands Improvement (LIH), Bradley Murphy Design (BMD), Stantec, and Plunkett UK The workshop focused on Lands Improvement's emerging proposals for #LittleBarford, a site allocated within Bedford Borough Council's emerging Local Plan (Policy HOU19). 📍 The plan includes the delivery of at least 4,000 new homes, four hectares of employment land, and all the key services and facilities to address its own needs, including health, education, retail, culture, and community facilities. We are proud to be leading a comprehensive and transparent consultation programme that will play a key role in shaping the future of Little Barford. #CommunityEngagement #Consultation #Planning #LittleBarford #FutureDevelopment Nick Vose George Parkinson

Railpen and our development manager, Ridgelift have received consent for a landmark workspace on the eastern-edge of Cambridge. 230 Newmarket Road, a 157,000 sq ft six-storey Grade A listed building, is Railpen's latest investment in Cambridge and forms part of our strategy of supporting the UK's economic and social growth through the clustering of assets in key sectors and locations. Outline consent has also been granted for the 10,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space in a separate single-storey building adjacent to the office. Matthew Howard, Railpen's Head of Property, has commented: “We’re delighted with the council’s decision to grant consent for 230 Newmarket Road, with the development adding to the quality of offices available to accommodate growth in a world-leading city for innovation. Importantly, it is the first stage of a new business district for the city that will bring more long-term employment and prosperity to one of the UK’s most important economic areas.” #Cambridge #PropertyDevelopment #SustainableDevelopment #Workspace #UKInvestment

Congratulations to Vistry Group on securing outline approval for 150 homes at Land north of Hanham Way #Nailsea. This was a great team effort that helped secure the approval, which, despite being allocated, was not straightforward. #Marengocommunications role was to carry out public consultation to support the application, gathering valuable feedback from stakeholders and the community to help improve the scheme. Simon Schofield worked on this for #Marengo, led by Lucy Atkins at #Vistry. We are very pleased with this result! #Planning #NewHomes #NorthSomerset #WestofEngland

This week, we joined Business South and fellow Central South businesses in Westminster to drive meaningful conversations on regional development. We didn't just attend; we actively engaged with MPs and local government leaders, highlighting the critical challenges and opportunities presented by #devolution and #localgovernment reorganisation. Our own Steve Jolly led a dynamic roundtable dinner, fostering crucial dialogue on how these changes can unlock tangible benefits for our region, particularly in #housing, #growth, and #planning. We're committed to turning these discussions into actionable strategies that deliver real results for the Central South. We're already eager to build on this momentum at the next event. #CentralSouth #RegionalDevelopment #PublicAffairs
MPs and business leaders from across the public and private sector came together yesterday for the Central South All-Party Parliamentary Group in #London. Chaired by Amanda Martin, MP for Portsmouth North, the APPG put forward the Central South White Paper - A Call for Housing Change. In a discussion led by Mark Perry CEO of VIVID, the impact of the current housing scenario in the Central South was considered. Claire-Whitaker, CEO of Southampton Forward explained how #Southampton had moved forward with a public art strategy and the impact that culture has on future investment. Following the APPG, MPs and business leaders gathered in #Westminster for a House of Commons Reception. 70 guests were welcomed by the Rt Hon Caroline Nokes MP, MP for Romsey and Southampton North. Mark Perry CEO of VIVID Homes presented the Housing White Paper, and Leigh-Sara Timberlake Group CEO of Business South and Simon A., VP Corporate Affairs at Carnival UK (P&O Cruises & Cunard) spotlighted the highly successful Maritime and Transport Careers Programme. Dame Caroline Dinenage MP DBE, MP for #Gosport emphasized the innovative cross-party Water Taxi project. The full itinerary concluded with a lively networking reception.
