𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯/𝟮𝟰 2023-24 was one our strongest years yet, packed with activities across our key strands as well as many cross-sector projects delivered with and on behalf of key stakeholders. The team built on the strong foundations put in place during 2022-23, delivering above and beyond for the visitor economy, meeting, conference and events sector, place promotion partnership, and our crucial frontier sectors. We amplified our marketing campaigns by going back into more markets than ever before, leveraged our relationships with the media to deliver rich and meaningful storytelling, and pushed our digital channels further and harder. With the newly established Manchester Accommodation BID and our contract to deliver marketing and business events activities on behalf of accommodation levy payers, we were able to expand our reach, run new seasonal campaign, and win bids for more events. And amongst everything, we proved the value of our work, enriched our existing partnerships whilst building important new strategic partnerships to equip us with the resources to tackle the next crucial next phase Greater Manchester's development. In this film, our Managing Director, Victoria Braddock, summarises the work undertaken and key achievements that made 2023-24 one of our most successful to date.

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦: 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗮 𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 Exciting news today as it has been announced that Manchester has been chosen by its Catalan counterparts to be the first-ever English guest city at the iconic La Mercè festival event. The move will see partners from the two cities working closely over the next 12 months to put together a spectacular programme of Mancunian-grown talent in outdoor arts and music for audiences in Barcelona. Commenting on the announcement, Victoria Braddock, Managing Director at Marketing Manchester, said: "Barcelona’s annual La Mercè Festival is a fantastic showcase of civic pride and inimitable Catalonian culture, and we're honoured that Manchester has been invited to join the event in 2025 as guest city. "There are many synergies between Manchester and Barcelona: both vibrant cultural hubs, rich in history, with strong identities, and a shared passion for so much, especially music and sport. This is a perfect city-to-city partnership, and we look forward to bringing our cities even closer together over the coming years.” Full story: https://lnkd.in/eJ_T8_Wr
