The day is almost here for the latest #MPHERoes event celebrating female founders from every part of the country, hosted by The Earl of Erroll and Baroness Uddin at the House of Lords. At the MPH Autumn Summit we’ll hear from our inspiring MP HERoes about their journey to success as a business owner, with vision, hard work, challenges to overcome, a sprinkle of luck, and the rewards that follow. Are you bold enough? Let the magic continue…  We’ve already explored typography, and now it’s time to uncover one of my favourites, COLOUR, and learn how to use it to make your designs stand out. Are You Bold Enough to Make Your Designs Stand Out? Here are a few magic tricks: ⭐ Your Brand Colours:  When you design, keep your brand colours and codes readily accessible. Platforms like Canva often let you store your brand colours, ensuring you don’t inadvertently use elements that don’t align with your brand. Stick to your brand’s primary and secondary colours to maintain consistency and reinforce your brand’s identity. Balance these with neutral tones for a clean, polished look. ⭐ Apply the 60-30-10 Rule  Use 60% of a dominant colour, Reserve 30% for secondary elements and finally 10% for accents (i.e. Buttons). Some brands might opt for multiple dominant colours based on their strategy. Still, each design should follow this balance as it creates visual harmony and emphasises key elements without overwhelming the viewer. ⭐ Test Your Colours:  Ensure your brand shines across all devices (phone, laptop, TV) and platforms (website, social media, print) and test for user experience to make your design user-friendly and accessible Ready to make your designs pop?
