Hosted by Merlin Erroll, Baroness Manzila Uddin and Helene Martin Gee at the UK House of Lords. 🌟 After a warm welcome from Lord Erroll, we heard inspiring words from Baroness Uddin, then founder Helene set the scene for an action-packed afternoon, thanking the fabulous businesswomen with us and our male allies. 🌟 Following an engaging keynote from NatWest's James Holian it was time for inspiring business stories from MP HERoes and female founders, huge thanks to Karen Potter The Estate Agent, Evadney Campbell MBE and Sarah Greenwood. 📢 MP HERo and entrepreneur Samantha Acton, gave a rousing call to action to all for MP HERoes to be part of the exciting MPH Roadshow, launching next spring under Sam's leadership. 🌟 Our roundtable, on building sustainable businesses and the impact of the new Government on UK business, was expertly chaired by Yvonne G. with a top panel of Angelique Mohring, Jill Pay and Marc Ortmans along with key interventions from MP HERoes and founders, thank you Debbie Knight, Lynne Parker, Seema Goyal ,Tina Ndidi Ugo (MBA PGDip) Elizabeth Botsford, Helen Gibson MBE and more. 📢 We rounded off with a peep into phenomenal plans for World Business Women's Day (WBW) on October 17, from Helene and Sue, with more ideas and opportunities exchanged during the drinks and networking. At our annual afternoon tea event at the House of Lords, we celebrated remarkable women who have made significant impact in culture, advocacy and literature, using their voices to champion social justice, equality, and the preservation of cultural identities. Each table was named in their honour and hosted by present-day inspirational women. 🌟 The Catherine Dior table, hosted by Jill Pay, symbolised courage and resilience, paying tribute to Dior's legacy as a French resistance fighter. 🌟 The Fatou Diome table, led by Sue Lawton MBE, highlighted the power of storytelling and identity, reflecting Diome’s work on immigration and the African diaspora. 🌟 Brenda King MBE FRSA hosted the Ida Fiyo Mntwana table, honouring the legacy of activism and social justice. 🌟 The Mona Al-Mundhiri table, led by Noreen Burroughes Cesareo FRSA, emphasised the importance of cultural preservation and education.
