Nick Vincent, Mayfield Watford General Manager… last seen on Tuesday night’s BBC News! If you tuned in to last night’s 6:30 pm news, you might have spotted Mayfield Watford. BBC reporter Vincent McAviney joined Nick and the team as they explored retirement alternatives outside the city and what this means for an ageing population. The star of the show? Our wonderful owner, Mr. Hamilton, who sat down with Vincent for an 'exclusive' interview at Mayfield Watford: "You meet people of your own age and own outlook. So socially it’s perfect, you’ve got plenty of activities it's very advantageous to us but it's more advantageous to the community that there is something like this as the people moving here are downsizing.” Our CEO, Nick Sanderson, also shared his thoughts: "If we’re there to help and support them to keep them active physically and mentally, they are less likely to be users of health care and social care." It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase what life in a retirement community looks like. https://lnkd.in/efT9TB44 from 12:55 onwards

An Exciting Milestone at Mayfield Watford Last week, we were delighted to welcome prospective owners and a few of our current owners to celebrate the launch of Phase Two, Kingfisher Court at Mayfield Watford. The sun was shining as our Sales Manager, Gordon, introduced our speakers and the day's events. A highlight of the day was the delicious lunch buffet, expertly prepared by our Head Chef Surrendra and his team, followed by an exclusive apartment tour. And of course, no event is complete without a Mayfield goody bag filled with homemade treats. A huge thank you to our partners who joined us and to our owners who mingled throughout the event, sharing stories of their lives in their new homes.

Wow, what a wonderfully full box of much-needed items ready to be sent off to The Trussell Trust UK. A huge thank you to our incredibly generous owners at Mayfield Watford. Winter is the busiest time for food banks in the Trussell community. Last winter, 600,000 food parcels were distributed to people facing hunger and poverty. The Trussell Trust expect this year to be just as challenging as more people struggle to afford even the essentials. If you would like to find out more about The Trussell Trust please visit their website - https://lnkd.in/eUJS7Uvn
