A fantastic evening celebrating Mayfield Villages achievements last night at the HealthInvestor Senior Housing Awards. We are proud to share that we won the IRC Scheme of the Year alongside Balfour Beatty plc. Mayfield Watford's General Manager, Nick Vincent discusses how we must celebrate and encourage the importance of keeping fit and healthy whilst embracing new opportunities and pursuing passions in retirement. Nick's community at Mayfield Watford is dedicated to supporting our owners in their fitness journeys, providing a variety of activities and resources to help everyone stay active and engaged.

After 3 months of daily practice, the 'Mayfield Belles' finally took to the stage for their first live performance at the Mayfield Watford Summer Fair this weekend. The 'Mayfield Belles' are Watford's very own cheerleading squad made up of property owners. They performed twice over the course of the day to a very packed audience! With the sun shining down, Watford Village welcomed over 100 attendees to browse local stall holders, visit a petting zoo, and enjoy the live band whilst sampling delicious hot refreshments from M Bar and Kitchen. Nick Vincent, General Manager comments - "Massive congratulations to Orhan Gozutok and Caroline who I know put so much into making the day perfect. The Mayfield Belles really do prove age is just a number. Christmas fair planning is well underway as is The Mayfield Belles next routine!"

It's been a busy week at Mayfield Watford... Starting the week with a (competitive) Mayfield 'Bake Off' followed by a fabulously sunny day in the gardens for Sports Day to raise funds for The Audley Foundation, the owners and team members participated in an egg and spoon race, ring toss and darts! Followed by Gardening Club and birthday celebrations for Ollie, Sales Consultant later in the week.

April 'Steps & Smoothies' at Mayfield Watford. The owners went on a much-awaited walk; The Ebury Way with Natalie. A route that starts at our very own village and follows the tracks of the long dismantled railway between Watford & Rickmansworth. A day that is much looked forward to each month by our owners.

It's been a very busy March at Mayfield Watford for our owners and the team! Starting with a delicious Mother's Day lunch, a flower workshop, a farewell lunch hosted by the owners for Megan, a very busy Art Club in the Village Hall and a very timely hot cross bun demonstration just in time for Easter.

Today we held a public consultation exhibition for our proposed Mayfield Villages Integrated Retirement Community (IRC) at Brent Cross Town with Related Argent. Located in the heart of this transformational regeneration area we will bring forward around 160 IRC units with associated communal facilities creating an environment with health and wellness at its heart, to support our future owners to live better for longer in their later years. Related Argent and Barnet Council should be applauded for their visionary approach to create what will be a stunning intergenerational community at Brent Cross. The Greater London Authority and other London Boroughs should take note as more must be done to support the compelling need for many more IRC’s across the capital.
