Today is World Mental Health Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about mental health issues and promoting positive mental well-being. At Maylarch, M&M Waste Solutions, and Zero, we firmly believe that mental health is just as important as physical health. We recognise the impact mental well-being has on overall quality of life, work performance, and personal relationships. Our companies are committed to fostering a supportive environment where mental health is prioritised. Whether it's through providing resources, creating open spaces for discussion, or offering programmes designed to promote well-being, we actively encourage our teams to take care of their mental health and support one another. We are strong advocates for breaking the stigma surrounding mental health, encouraging everyone to seek help when they need it, and normalising conversations about mental well-being. Just as you would take care of a physical injury, it’s equally important to tend to your mental and emotional health. On this day, we remind everyone to check in on themselves, reach out for support when needed, and show kindness and understanding to others who may be struggling. Together, we can create a healthier, more compassionate community where mental health is treated with the care and importance it deserves. #mentalhealthday #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthfoundation

Maylarch Environmental Ltd will be visiting Oxford Wood Recycling this week, to discuss employment opportunities, through OWR's Wood to Work programme. This is an exciting potential for collaboration and development within our local community. What is Wood to Work? 🌳 It is a programme that enables people with a disability or significant disadvantage and who face barriers to working, to find, access and remain in employment through specialist employment support. The programme is housed at, and run by OWR, in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. Although they often work with wood, Wood to Work is not a carpentry programme. They provide expert support towards achieving general, sustainable, paid employment in the community. Once in work, individuals continue to receive support at their workplace for as long as required, including future support should circumstances change. What are Maylarch doing? 👷🏽♀️ Maylarch have many progression opportunities throughout all sectors of the company. Working with OWR on the Wood to Work programme will allow individuals to begin their journey at Maylarch at a level that suits them, even without any prior experience. With the support of Maylarch and OWR, individuals will be coached, guided and challenged to reach goals and exceed expectations. The progression opportunities at Maylarch may be the next step for individuals who have been in the Wood to Work programme and are awaiting a new challenge. #woodtowork #owr #maylarch #workwithus
