We are thrilled that two of our projects have been shortlisted for the RSUA Design Awards 2025—two of only seven to make the cut. The last time McGurk Architects won this award was in 2022, when the James Connolly Visitor Centre received the Liam McCormick Building of the Year. This week, we welcomed the judging panel to our shortlisted projects: the Roddy McCorley Heritage Centre in Belfast and the New Gate Arts Centre in Derry. Both projects were close to Colm McGurk’s heart, and we know he would be immensely proud. With winners to be announced on 8th May, we are honoured to be recognised alongside such strong projects. Breaking Ground at MUSA! Exciting times as work kicks off on the Mid Ulster Sports Arena. Delivered by Tony Patterson Sportsgrounds, the project will introduce an accredited 8-lane athletics track, a FIFA-accredited 3G synthetic pitch, floodlighting, and additional facilities, enhancing sporting opportunities for the local community.
