🚀 UK HealthTech Eyes Global Growth, but Urgent Action is Needed to Remove Barriers 🚫 For the third consecutive year, the challenges facing the UK HealthTech industry continue to intensify. Regulatory uncertainties, rising costs, and unsustainable NHS tender requirements are stifling innovation and delaying the introduction of cutting-edge technologies into the UK. 📉 Data from ABHI and CPI’s latest sector-wide study reveals that: ❗Half of the sector is delaying innovations due to regulatory concerns. ❗30% of companies are avoiding NHS tenders because of unrealistic unit price demands. ❗Sustainability requirements, while supported, still need clearer guidance. Despite these hurdles, the industry remains optimistic. 💡 Over 30% of companies are planning to expand their R&D and manufacturing investments in the UK. The government's recent commitment to HealthTech is encouraging, but urgent action is needed to ensure the sector reaches its full potential. ABHI’s Peter Ellingworth puts it best: "UK HealthTech is at a crossroads. Immediate action is needed to overcome these barriers and secure the UK’s position as a global leader in HealthTech."
