Our people do right by us every time they come to work. So it's only right that we're there for them when they need us too. We're extremely chuffed to be the first company to go live with the brand new Protect+ care package from Yurtle. Through this exciting partnership, we can now protect parents and carers within our team from the impact of care interruption. Thanks to the Yurtle folk for all the support so far. (We've also learned that a 'bale' is the collective noun for turtles - who knew?)

A lot can change in 12 months. For us, it’s been one of our most exciting years yet. We’ve built new partnerships. Welcomed new people. Developed new product lines. And moved mountains to reach our goals. It’s been a year full of growth and learning. But there are two things that will always be at the centre of everything we do…… our culture and our clients. Since we started out 22 years ago, long-term, value-driven relationships are what we do best. Thank you dearly to everyone who has a hand in shaping our future. For now, we celebrate, we enjoy, we laugh. Merry Christmas!

If you know us, then you’ll know how we do business. If you don’t, then this’ll give you an idea of what we care about when it comes to our people, clients, partners, and friends. We’re delighted to be the very first insurance broker in the UK to have been awarded the 'Ethical Sales Business' accreditation by the The Institute of Sales Professionals (ISP). In support of our values of professional excellence, individual development and integrity, our team have worked their way through the programme to earn the ISP’s recognition for their code of conduct. The ISP promotes and celebrates the highest standards of ethics and professionalism through their corporate membership. Safe to say, we’re chuffed to be continuing on our journey with them in 2025. Congratulations team - a smashing way to finish off the year!

The young talent that lands in our industry should be allowed to hit the ground running. We’re talking about the twenty-somethings who are hungry for success and eager to make a good wage. They shouldn’t have to 'do their time' before being paid any attention. They should be nurtured. Invested in. Listened to. Here, planting seeds is part of our growth strategy. We grow our young people by giving them the right access, support and resources to flourish, and then they do the rest. Our garden has grown a lot over the last year and we couldn’t be prouder of some of the fresh talent driving us forward. If YOU want to hit the ground running with an opportunity that will support you to prosper, head to our website today to get in touch - who knows where you could end up!

Pack your Ray-Bans, we’re heading for the sun, sand and unforgettable sights of Monte Carlo! This year’s RVS will take place on 7th - 11th of next month, bringing together some of the brilliant minds in Reinsurance, ILS and Capital markets. From the very first event in 1957, RVS has become the largest gathering in Reinsurance. It’s a chance to meet, connect with and learn from the people who are pedalling our industry forward year on year. So, Craig, Mark and Darren will be lathering on the factor 50 and getting stuck into the mix. Drop them a message if you’ll be there too so they can come and say hello. It’s going to be a fantastic event! #RVS2024

Our culture is our biggest treasure. It’s why we look forward to coming into work every morning and leave feeling part of something special at the end of day. So, with that said, we’re VERY excited to announce that we’ve invited someone new into the fold as a guardian of all things culture, people performance, and staying true to our values. Samantha Peat is an industry powerhouse. She is hugely experienced, particularly within the mutual insurance sector. Her last appointment was with Tindall Riley where she was both CEO and CUO of Wren, an architects’ mutual insurer, and Griffin, an insurance intermediary mutual insurer. She is also an advisor to the Construction Leadership Council who, in partnership with Government and organisations of all sizes across the industry, ensures support and resilience across the construction sector. While her impressive resume speaks for itself, it's her wholehearted commitment to getting the best out of the people in her tribe that makes her the perfect fit for the next stage of our growth plan. Sam will be joining us as Group Board Advisor to tend to our processes and procedures, nurture our culture, and share her infectious ethos that if a job’s worth doing, it’s worth doing properly. Welcome to the team, Sam. We’re chuffed beyond words to have you with us!

In the brief time that LMP have become a part of Meridian, we've already seen a new dimension in thinking and approach. Here's an insightful piece from Matthew Meredith on the potential impacts on mass gatherings of US civil unrest post the Presidential election. Enjoy!
