This week is Debt Awareness Week. According to CAP - Christians Against Poverty UK, 42% of UK adults have limited their electric and gas use while 24% have lost sleep worrying about debt. At Merthyr Housing, we are able to support residents affected by debt. We work in partnership with organisations such as CAP, StepChange, LEAP, National Energy Action, Warm Wales and Riverside Advice to help take the first step towards reducing debt. We can check eligibility for the Discretionary Assistance Fund and help with applications for essential items. We can also assist with applications for the Discretionary Housing Payment. Monday Morning Recap! Our very own Bethan Thomas took on the #justkeepswimming challenge, swimming 22 miles in over 18 hours. This amazing feat is for a vital holiday hunger project, Fit & Fed Merthyr Tydfil.
