We’re thrilled to announce that our Teesside team has been selected as a finalist for the Tees Business Awards in the Community Champions category! In the last year, the team has raised over £18,000 for the Great North Air Ambulance and donated £10,000 to local charities, groups, and clubs through the Miller Homes Community Fund. They have also been working closely with local schools and colleges, to help inspire and support young people as they explore future career opportunities. Congratulations to our Teesside team on their nomination and good luck for the awards ceremony, which will take place on Thursday 10th April.🎉

We were thrilled to visit Living Potential Care Farming CIC in North Yorkshire, recipients of a £1,000 donation from the Miller Homes Community Fund. Since 2016, this fantastic farm has been providing opportunities for young people and adults with additional needs and mental health challenges to get involved in gardening activities and caring for animals, including some very friendly alpacas! Our Community Fund donation will help supply warm clothing and accessories to ensure their hardworking team stay dry and warm through the winter months. Plans for a development of 1,434 new homes, a new primary school, public space, and a local centre in Wokingham have been granted approval. The project, part of the South Wokingham Strategic Development Location (SWSDL), will be delivered collaboratively by Miller Homes and Kier Property. Holme Meadows – as the site will be known – also includes plans for a Suitable Alternative Natural Greenspace (SANG), which will provide significant public open space for the community. Construction is expected to commence in Spring 2025, subject to reserved matters applications and planning conditions being met. We had the pleasure of hearing from Emily McNeice ahead of Scottish Apprenticeship Week, which starts today! Emily joined us as a Trainee Surveyor apprentice while studying for her qualification from Glasgow Caledonian University. Now a qualified Surveyor, Emily has been a great addition to the Scotland West team, and we’re delighted that her traineeship with Miller Homes has provided her with the skills and knowledge needed to pursue her chosen career. Our Yorkshire team are proud to announce the acquisition of land at Blackmoor Foot Road in Huddersfield as part of a joint venture. Together, over 700 homes will be built including 231 Miller homes at our Hawksley Park development. Located on a former industrial site, around a quarter of the combined development will be dedicated to newly-created green spaces with outdoor play areas, a park and green corridors. Alfie Sykes is a Commercial Apprentice with our Yorkshire team.   After completing a work experience placement, Alfie was keen to return to the company and applied for an apprenticeship through our Early Talent Scheme.   Alfie plays a key role in providing sub-contractors with the information they need to complete work on our developments and ensures that our PPE and Site Protection stocks are well maintained.   At the start of his apprenticeship, Alfie enjoyed spending some time working on site to understand how the build process is managed from start to finish. #NationalApprenticeshipWeek #NAW25 #MillerHomes #Apprentices

Samuel Mbu joined our South Midlands team as a Technical Trainee after a teacher encouraged him to apply for our Early Talent Scheme. Samuel has found a traineeship to be the perfect fit for him, allowing him to gain experience quickly and apply the skills he is developing in a real work environment.
