It's that time of year when our learners, staff and trustees get to vote on the best Christmas card designs! ☃🎄❄️ The learners have created some incredible artwork, making it a tough week ahead for choosing the winners. The top five designs will be printed in our 2024 Christmas Card Pack, which will be available for sale at our Festive Fayre!

Celebrating powerful partnerships! 🌈🤝 Q:alliance was elated to be a finalist in MK SNAP (Milton Keynes Special Needs Advancement Project) Community Champion category alongside Diversity Marketplace (Est 2005). We share a very special partnership, which means we can collaborate on safe spaces, resources and knowledge- all grounded in shared values of inclusivity and empowerment. By working together, both organisations are stronger and more capable, our communities are better embraced. Inclusivity is never wholly achieved, its not a checkbox and work is never done. However, partnerships like these mean we acknowledge its not an end goal, it's a tenacious commitment. Accepting we can always do more and be better, learn more and continue adapting. We want to create environments where everyone has a place and is empowered to thrive, but we deliver our pledges with someone in mind that we haven't yet reached or isn't yet thriving. A big well done to Angie Novell, the team at Snap and all the "Snappers" for putting on a very lovely first MK Snap Star Awards evening, where the whole space was full of applause and laughter. Gamiel Yafai face hurt from smiling.

We have been working with the incredible charity MK SNAP (Milton Keynes Special Needs Advancement Project) for a number of years now and it's always a pleasure when we collaborate together. Last month we hosted a table top sale at our Head Office, where Routeco employees could buy some gorgeous items which had been handmade by the learners of MK Snap. Some of the wares on offer included bird boxes, plant pots, dog walking accessories and delicious cakes. A special highlight was being able to catch up with Dawn, an MK Snap Learner who, prior to COVID, used to come into our offices each week for a work placement. The cherry on the (homemade) cake? The sale raised a fantastic £300 for the charity. Rachel Williams

Ian has arrived at MK SNAP work-ready, equipped with his new pencil case and folder, prepared to assist with welcoming visitors to our cafe. Working at reception helps learners develop essential work skills, including customer service, administrative skills, professionalism, and confidence building.
