Morson Projects’ Ematics division recently successfully delivered a new version of an innovative railway control system for Network Rail’s electrical network. This project is part of a consolidation of all existing Network Rail SCADA systems into a single national #SCADA platform; Traction Power Centralised Management System (TPCMS). This control system will eventually provide the control of power delivery of the UK railway network across England and Scotland, controlling thousands of kilometres of track from 13 distributed control rooms. Find out more about how the team worked with project partner, Telent Technology Services Ltd, to deliver the national SCADA platform: ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eWMfS4wH

Morson Projects Electrical Engineer, Max Mendle practices karate in his spare time, and competes across the globe 🥋🗺️ Last week, his passion took him to Warsaw, Poland where he represented England at the European Championships. Max shared: “Last week, our squad of 14 had an incredible time in Poland, competing and representing our country. I'm thrilled to share that we brought home 1 gold, 3 silvers, and 3 bronze medals! “On a personal note, I faced a challenging draw with over 60 fighters in my section but made it through to the round of 16. Last week I had the privilege of visiting Birmingham City University as a Guest Speaker for the Architectural Technology Digital Design Module. Waldeck have been working closely with the University for several years now, on our Network Rail asset management project, so it was a fantastic opportunity to partner with them again to share the practical applications of digital technologies and real-world insights with the students. I also showcased some of the cutting-edge equipment we use, including our drones! Thanks to everyone who participated and made the session so engaging and thank you to Mustafa Al-Adhami for the invitation, who was also previously a KTP on the Network Rail project!

Last week Andy Hassall joined the UK Atomic Energy Authority’s supplier showcase for their Framework Partners across the: ➡️ EDS - Engineering Design Services Framework ➡️ EER - Embedded Engineering Resource Framework The Frameworks support the development of a UK industrial supply chain capability by allowing companies to work closely with UKAEA as it undertakes fusion energy research. Colette Broadwith, Strategic Procurement Business Partner for UKAEA, said: “These Frameworks enable UKAEA to work collaboratively and with maximum efficiency with the fusion supply chain. UKAEA can continue to leverage the engineering and technical expertise of our industrial partners to help accelerate fusion energy’s commercialisation, for the benefit of all.”

Myself and Luke Wilson were thrilled to have attended the WiME Careers Fair at the Guildhall, last Wednesday! Having participated in these events as a student, I know firsthand how beneficial they are in encouraging and empowering individuals. It was an incredible opportunity to connect with inspiring professionals, help them to explore career paths, and also learn about the amazing contributions women are making in our industry. The event highlighted the importance of diversity and inclusion in manufacturing and engineering, showcasing how we can all work together to drive progress. A big thank you to the organisers and everyone involved for creating such an empowering environment. #WomenInEngineering #CareersFair #Empowerment #DiversityInSTEM #MorsonProjects #WiME

Morson Projects’ Asset Care & Technical Services team in Westlakes recently welcomed colleagues from our Manchester office to Cumbria for a fantastic team-building day! 🚗💨 The team got together for a day on the go-karting track, where their collaborative spirit quickly turned into friendly competition. Some even questioning if eating pizza would affect their lap times! 😅 The day was full of adrenaline, laughter, and plenty of racing thrills, followed by a delicious evening of Indian food and great conversation. Big congratulations to the winners - watch out, F1! 🏁
