Last year the event raised an amazing £57,000 - a figure we hope will be exceeded this year, with your support. Today's #PPOTD comes from sunny Reading, where #TeamMTX are creating a new Urology Department for Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust ☀️ 📷🏥🌳 The project has now entered the second fix phase, with ceiling installation underway and doors, IPS, and flooring nearly complete. Externally, groundworks are nearing final drainage connections, cladding installation is progressing, and all plant equipment is in position! 🏗️ Once complete, the new unit will provide modern, state-of-the-art facilities for staff and patients, enabling the Trust to perform more surgical procedures and support patients being seen more quickly. #projectpicoftheday #modernmethodsofconstruction #mmc #healthcareconstruction #fasttrack #nhs #patientcare #urology #teamsafe

Project complete. ✅ 🏗️🏥🌳 Following the successful addition of Theatre 11 at Wrightington Hospital last year, we're delighted to have completed another brand-new theatre for Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust at the home of orthopaedic surgery. Social value round-up alert! 🌍🤝 Over the last few weeks, we've had the opportunity to engage with students across Manchester, to help them gain valuable experience and insight into the world of work. Our Social Value Manager, Tamara Karim, has been working closely with local schools to help equip young people with the skills they need to succeed, including... 📌 Manchester Islamic High School for Girls, where we had the chance to sit down with Year 10 students for mock interviews to give them a boost of confidence to see them through their upcoming work placements. 📌 Ladybridge High School, Bolton, where our enterprise workshop gave students the opportunity to get involved in problem-solving and idea generation, encouraging them to think about business and innovation. 📌 King David High School, Manchester, where we attended a STEM event to engage with students about career opportunities in construction and beyond, and how STEM subjects play a key role in shaping the future of the industry. It's full steam ahead at John Radcliffe Hospital, where #TeamMTX are almost half way through Phase 1 of a new cutting-edge Surgical Elective Centre for Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. 🏗️🏥🌳 The offsite building structure is now more than 70% complete and progressing in line with our install programme, whilst on site, all available retaining walls have been poured on the upper level. Installation of the suspended level 1 slab formwork has also begun. 📢 PSA: NEW PROJECT UNDERWAY 📢 🏗️🏥🌳 We're excited to share that #TeamMTX have begun work on a brand new Urgent Treatment Centre at Cumberland Infirmary! Located next to the existing A&E department, the new UTC will provide 12 consultation rooms, ancillary staff areas, clinical storage space and patient waiting areas, as part of a longer term plan to improve access to urgent care services in Carlisle. Project update alert! 🚨 📷🏥🌳 Works are progressing well at Clacton Hospital, where #TeamMTX are upgrading healthcare facilities for East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust with a new Urgent Treatment Centre.
