As the Arab Health Exhibition comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on what an insightful and productive few days it has been. I could have created a list of hundreds of take aways, however I have managed to reduce them down to my top 6: 1️⃣ Strengthening Client Partnerships I’ve used this time to connect with clients—checking in, gathering feedback, discussing future plans, and ensuring we continue to support them effectively. Listening and working to really understand how we can best take care of our partnerships going forward. 2️⃣ Navigating International Expansion & Regulatory Challenges I’ve gained deeper insights into our clients’ international expansion strategies, particularly the challenges they face with MDR compliance. The growing demand for high-quality, certified translations of IFUs has never been more evident, especially with auditors focusing on a translators relevant qualifications to translate technical medical. It’s also inspiring to see how closely some clients work with their distribution partners, using Arab Health as a springboard for global supply chain growth. 3️⃣ Healthcare Market Insights I've learned how our National Healthcare System in the UK differs from UAE's and others Globally which can present challenges for UK medical device manufacturers as budgets continue to remain the same for products even with costs increasing. 4️⃣ Mergers Hearing firsthand about new acquisitions and mergers from our network has been really interesting. These moves are not only strengthening brands but also expanding capabilities in the UK and beyond. The industry is evolving rapidly, and it's exciting to witness this transformation. 5️⃣ Opportunities in Translation & Talent Acquisition I’ve deepened my understanding of the translation market here and the unique opportunities it presents. Additionally, I had the chance to interview some great candidates—an exciting prospect for the future. 6️⃣ Empowering Talks I've attended inspiring talks like EmpowerHer - Leadership with Purpose who gave an engaging fireside talk learning from Senior Leaders in GSK and other high performing companies on their journey, learnings and experiences around how their leadership has evolved into compassionate assertive leadership was highly inspiring. More specifically sharing: - People work for their leaders, not just their companies. - Empowerment thrives on care, connection, and empathy. - Don’t wait for an invitation—create your own opportunities. Finally, I’ve had the pleasure of catching up with business connections (now friends), discussing feedback, new opportunities, and potential collaborations. I’m especially looking forward to closing this fantastic week at the Smart Young Things of Healthcare IT (UAE) networking event tonight. Should any of my network also be in attendance tonight let me know! #ArabHealth2024 #HealthcareInnovation #GlobalExpansion #Leadership #MDRCompliance #WomenInLeadership
