We are thrilled to announce that we have acquired a 99.2 MW onshore wind project from OX2, a leading company in the development and construction of renewable energy solutions active across Europe and Australia. The project is located in eastern-Romania and is expected to start construction during Q3 2024. The project will consist of 16 Vestas V162-6.2 MW™ wind turbines and is expected to be commissioned during the first half of 2026. It is expected to support Nala's contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals by generating around 312 GWh of clean energy per year, representing the energy use of around 51,000 households, as well as saving approximately 150,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions per year*. The deal reached by Nala with OX2 includes a 12-year PPA with a multinational corporate offtaker, negotiated and structured by both Nala and OX2, providing Nala with material revenue security. “We are very pleased to sign our first wind project with OX2 with whom we have built a long-term partnership over the past months. This is a flagship transaction for Nala and also demonstrates our ability to secure contracted assets and capitalize on the increasing demand for renewable energy PPA’s from multinational organizations”, said Rémy VEROT, COO of Nala Renewables. “We would like to thank OX2 for their efforts and co-operation during this transaction and we look forward to working with a suite of world-class partners to bring the project through construction and into operations,” said Panagiotis Bourtsalas, Investment VP at Nala Renewables. We are delighted to announce Nala’s expansion into Lithuania through our acquisition of 34MWp operational solar PV portfolio from renewable energy group GREEN GENIUS. In addition, we have signed an agreement with Green Genius for Nala to acquire a further 45MWp of PV projects in the near-term that are expected to increase the total size of the portfolio to 79MWp, and further extending Nala’s presence in CEE and the Baltics. This will support Nala's contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals by generating around 96,000MWh of clean energy per year from the full 79MWp portfolio, representing the energy use of around 9,500 households, as well as saving approximately 20,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions per year. It was a great couple of days spent with the team of Wayu Energy (Nala Renewables South East Asia focussed platform wherein it owns 80%) based in #Vietnam #HoChiMinhCity who bring in deep domain expertise and passion for #decarbonising the emerging economies of #SouthEastAsia with focus on 2 key markets - #Vietnam and #Philippines as they continue to develop, construct, operate and acquire #renewables assets including ground mounted and #rooftop solar assets. It is exciting to see the progress achieved by Wayu Energy in building the portfolio of operational and under construction assets and in 12 months since inception, Wayu has about 20MW+ construction/operational solar assets in Vietnam. Nala/ Wayu envision this commitment to SEA to grow significantly in the coming 12 months+ by converting our pipeline across Vietnam and Philippines including #C&I and #utility scale solar, #BESS etc.

#EarthDay is a reminder of the importance of taking action to build a sustainable future - now in its 54th year of raising awareness and inspiring change through events, toolkits, and initiatives. The team behind Earthday.org is working with 150,000 partners in over 192 countries to drive positive action for our planet. Through our battery storage, onshore wind and solar PV projects, like Pueblo Seco in Chile, Nala is helping to reduce carbon emissions and meet the growing demand for clean power. Our 150MW+ of operational and/or in-construction projects in Chile will provide electricity for c.7.982 homes per year and offset 48,100 tonnes of carbon emissions. The Chilean portfolio forms part of the wider ~4GW global Nala portfolio and pipeline. Always Advancing Green Energy. #sustainability #renewableenergy
