National Tutoring Programme (NTP)
Education Administration Programs
Providing access to high quality tutoring for pupils who need it the most, funded by Department for Education.
About us
The National Tutoring Programme (NTP) is funded by Department for Education and provides access to high quality tutoring for pupils who need it the most. It aims to narrow the attainment gap and improve outcomes for the most disadvantaged in society. NTP provides primary and secondary schools with funding to spend on targeted academic support, delivered via three tuition routes: • Tuition partners – quality assured external tutoring organisations • Academic mentors – in-house staff members employed by schools • School-led tutoring – members of a school’s own staff, either currently employed or specifically engaged for this purpose
