National Tutoring Programme (NTP)

We are delighted that over 5.3 million courses have been started through the National Tutoring Programme (NTP) since November 2020, including 655,000 this academic year (up to January 2024). NTP would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has engaged with the programme so far.

#Schools - you still have until 31 August 2024 to spend your National Tutoring Programme (NTP) allocation, including during the summer holidays. Simon Bush, executive headteacher of The Green Way Academy, shares his experience of using #NTP to support disadvantaged pupils during the school holidays. “Thanks to NTP funding, we have been able to implement holiday #tuition programmes, including SATs booster sessions and catch-up clubs. Schools can use their NTP funding until 31 August 2024. A common misconception about the National Tutoring Programme (NTP) is that schools can’t use their funding for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).     NTP funding can be used to deliver alternative types of evidence-based educational interventions for pupils with SEND.
