Jess Phillips told hundreds of executives at an event this week: “Almost every single one of you as an employer is currently employing a perpetrator of domestic abuse and or rape.” She went on to say employers could play a massive role in tackling domestic violence “way more than the Government” could, adding that managers had to stop being “terrified” of having uncomfortable conversations with staff seeking help. We couldn't agree more - If your organisation needs help bolstering the support it's able to give its employees our Employers Toolkit includes training on: • Safe recruitment practices • Working in collaboration with local services to manage risk • Managing allegations and counter-allegations in the workplace • Safeguarding employees and other people.
