Award-winning giving platform that helps businesses donate volunteer time, money and surplus to local good causes.
About us
Neighbourly is an award-winning giving platform that helps businesses make a positive impact in their communities by donating volunteer time, money and surplus products, all in one place. We were founded in 2014 with the aim of helping businesses deliver meaningful and sustainable community investment, into thousands of locations across the UK and Ireland. We believe that by putting local impact at the heart of responsible business we can create a system that works for everyone. We’ve grown into an award-winning, market leading CSR platform that serves some of the world's biggest companies and supports thousands of local good causes working to improve lives and habitats in our neighbourhoods. In 2015 we became one of the UK’s very first B Corporations, meaning we’re a for-profit company certified by the non-profit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social responsibility and environmental performance, accountability and transparency. Being a B Corp underpins our core values and belief that business can be a force for good. Together with our fellow B Corps around the world we are redefining how sustainable communities are built and what success in business means. In 2020 we were accredited by the Good Business Charter, launched the Neighbourly Foundation to provide continued financial support to local community causes. The Neighbourly Foundation is now a Marks & Spencer Sparks Charity. 🧑🤝🧑We're in good company amongst our fellow Bristol-based B Corps🧑🤝🧑 Client Impact Director Sally Ainsworth recently joined a group of individuals to create this video for #BCorpMonth, showcasing the power of the B Corp community to create a better tomorrow. "At Neighbourly we're helping businesses make a real impact in the communities where they operate through grassroots organisations at the front line, helping to strengthen communities not only for today but also for tomorrow"🌍
What are Bristol B Corps doing to create a better tomorrow for people and planet? 🌍 Last week we invited local B Corps to our Avonmouth wind farm to tell us! 🎥 Thanks to Neighbourly, Greenhouse Communications, Future Leap | Certified B Corporation™ and Program | B Corp™ for helping us show the power in community for #BCorpMonth. #BCorpMonth #GenB B Lab UK

🍎🍌🥔 “If all apples, bananas and potatoes were sold loose, 60,000 tonnes of food waste could be saved every year.” Food waste is one of the biggest contributors to climate change and this week, WRAP's annual Food Waste Action Week is raising awareness about the devastating impact that food waste is having on the planet.🌍 Their mission this year is to get us talking about why buying loose fruit and veg is better, so that we only buy what we can actually use and waste less food products. At Neighbourly we're doing our part by supporting our retail partners to reduce food waste across their networks, redistributing over 258 million meals since our surplus programme began!🙌🙌

🎥A Neighbourly day in the life🎥 On a recent trip to London to launch our #Ai123 campaign in person with over 100 Currys plc employees, Senior Client Impact Manager Lucy Tissington decided to get her camera rolling so that we could all be taken along with her! Speaking at their People Team's All Hands, Lucy got the Currys team excited to join us in our AI upskilling mission, in partnership with Microsoft. There were lots of great questions on the day, and so many employees showed a keenness to volunteer as part of this initiative. We're so pleased to have their support! Watch the short vlog to hear more💙

Supporting local communities where it’s needed most.💚 Thanks to our dedicated store colleagues, volunteers, and charity partners, we’ve now donated over 100 million meals through our partnership with Neighbourly. This has helped to prevent 49,000 tonnes of food waste, bringing us closer to our goal of redistributing 100% of edible surplus food by 2025/26. 🌍 Just this year, we've donated a record 30 million meals – the highest ever in our decade-long partnership. 🙌 Join Ben Fogle, Plan A Ambassador at M&S Food, as he explores the many ways this partnership is supporting people across the UK. 🗞️ Read more: https://bit.ly/3FkwVN3 #NotJustAnyNews #PlanA #Neighbourly

A week on from the launch of Ai123 in London and the campaign is gaining traction among our partners with over 100 employee volunteers already raising their hands to take part🙋 Our partnership with Microsoft has been making headlines, and for good reason. Earlier this week, Neighbourly COO Zoë Colosimo had the pleasure of joining Microsoft's AI Tour, as part of our Ai123 campaign launch and joining a round table discussion on the need for wide scale AI upskilling.🗣️ Zoe's key take outs from the day: there's such a phenomenal opportunity with AI but "we need to make it about people and less about tech - everyone needs to grow their knowledge to understand how it will benefit them right now". We're working in partnership with Microsoft to deliver on exactly this mission - upskilling people in the communities via our employee volunteer network so that everyone can access vital AI knowledge.🧠 Join our #Ai123 journey by following the link in the comments!
Our skillset will "migrate from managing people to managing agents" - and not James Bond type agents either! How do we get every person ready for such a shift in the ways we work, live and socialise? Microsoft's #AITour was a hugely impactful event and we were proud to be part of it, launching Neighbourly‘s #Ai123 in partnership with Microsoft which is a really simple pathway for getting started with AI - whoever you are. This pathway builds a clear understanding of the basics, the respect needed when using AI Assistants and Agents and of course the real use cases and practical steps to bring this to life. 🚨Darren Hardman's message highlighted urgency - #AgenicAI unlocks a once in a generation opportunity for UK growth prospects... And we need to grasp it, not wait and see what happens. 👩Building on that clear message, I had the honor of being part of a round table discussion about AI Skilling, Chaired by Microsoft's COO Soraya Scott where the general consensus was we need to make AI a people thing not a tech thing - everyone needs to grow their knowledge. ✅So reflecting on the "people thing" - If you're a business leader looking for meaningful ways your team can make a difference through #volunteering, employees looking to build skills and then share them, a charity representative wanting to understand how to get started with AI then there's a short blog in the notes section explaining how. We'd love to help - AI must be truly inclusive, we need to bring everyone along for the journey… And most importantly thank you Charles Eales for the invitation, the phenomenal collaboration and partnership. 👏 #MicrosoftUK #AITour #AgenicAI #AI123 #Inclusivity
