Their improper and unsafe disposal is causing an increase in battery fires on vehicles and at facilities both locally and nationally. At NLWA between 2023-2024, there was a 200% increase in fires caused by lithium batteries 🔋 ⚠️ Today our Chair, Cllr Clyde Loakes, explored this topic at the letsrecycle.com WEEE conference. Find out more about lithium battery disposal and their risks 👉 https://lnkd.in/eurC3RPv
