This Hate Crime Awareness week, and beyond, it's vital that we continue to raise awareness of the impact of hate crime, share advice and support and make sure you know how you can report it to us. Check out the post below about our ongoing partnership work with NUCASTLE, one of our local Safe Reporting Centres 👇 #HateCrimeAwareness #NationalHCAW
𝗡𝗨𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗟𝗘 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 ✊ Our community of Newcastle United Foundation Walking Football, Dementia Walking Football, Headway Walking Football and United for Sanctuary participants have come together to learn more about hate crime. By hosting an event at NUCASTLE in partnership with Northumbria Police, we are passionate in raising awareness of what hate crime is, how to prevent it and how to report it. The event highlighted the inspirational story of James, one of our walking footballers with an acquired brain injury, following an engaging quiz on Newcastle United, the North East and hate crime. Everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by the Foundation before heading up to our fantastic rooftop football pitch to enjoy a game of walking football. NUCASTLE is a Safe Reporting Centre providing a neutral location to report hate crime incidents without having to contact the police. We're here to help.
