About us North West Regional College (NWRC) is a leading provider of Further and Higher Education and skills training in Northern Ireland. The College has five main campuses in Derry~Londonderry, Limavady, and Strabane which boast modern and industry-standard learning environments, at which over 10,000 students achieve their personal educational goals, through full and part-time study every year. Learning Link were delighted to welcome local charity FOYLE DOWN SYNDROME TRUST LIMITED to our Strand Road campus this morning. Staff and Students were encouraged to rock their odd socks and join the group in their 'Down Right Fit' programme, delivered by the young people in celebration of World Down Syndrome Awareness day. The inspirational group led attendees in fun fitness activities and taught Makaton. A huge thank you to Foyle Down Syndrome Trust for providing us with a fantastic Friday morning.

Catherine McLaughlin, Lecturer in Beauty Therapy at our Strand Road campus, has been running weekly makeup master classes for our staff as part of our Health and Wellbeing programme for employees. Over the 3 weeks, staff were able to learn tips and tricks to do their makeup and skincare to help them feel empowered and confident. They spent this morning catching up with Violet Toland, Curriculum Lead for HE at NWRC, and Bronagh Fikri, International and European Projects Officer at NWRC. This afternoon they visited Springtown Campus meeting curriculum teams from Engineering, Construction and Sustainability and Business, Media and Technology. Proud to have these connections with international colleges to bring new prospects and opportunities to students in our region.
