Wittington Investments (Properties) has let 2,530 sq ft to PRP Group at Forty Princess Street in Manchester. Savills acted for the landlord and OBI represented PRP.

In June 2017, Adam Brady got in touch with OBI to see if we would like to support them on HBD's pitch to be the joint venture partner of Greater Manchester Pension Fund on Island. They had an amazing vision for the scheme. Fast forward 7 years and we see that vision become a reality. Great work by Lee Treanor to secure Virgin Media O2 as the first tenant and pleased for the opportunity to play a part in the project.

Camera’s rolling…   Channel 4 has taken the final 12,293 sq ft of office space at No 1 St Michael’s, meaning the office space is now fully occupied.    St Michael’s has broken city centre rent records on numerous occasions over the past 12 months, with Channel 4 taking a 10-year lease on the eighth floor.    We are all delighted to welcome Channel 4 and believe St Michael's Manchester is a fantastic fit.   CBRE represented Channel 4. https://lnkd.in/eY3RBi-8

Incredible news for St Michael's Manchester as we welcome a brilliant final addition, Channel 4. Congratulations to Relentless Developments on achieving full occupancy in the office space at No.1.

In 2020, OBI published a paper titled “Building Accreditations – A Developer’s Guide”. At the time, building design was evolving rapidly on the back of the pandemic, with landlords, investors and developers unsure which accreditations and industry standards would be valued by the occupational market and the impact that they would have on rental value, void periods and the investment value of the asset. Today, a lot of that ambiguity remains. Particularly when it comes to sustainability, NZC and energy efficiency. Having seen a recent article in Property Week, about the launch of a new UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard (NZCBS), Richard Lace from our Transactions & Asset Management Team decided to delve a bit deeper in to how this might help clear up some of the confusion around what constitutes a “net zero carbon building” and what implications it may have on the real estate industry. Iconic architecture and state-of-the-art facilities define Manchester Central. Its distinctive vaulted arches and historic station clock have been an iconic part of the city's skyline for nearly 130 years. When Manchester Central opened in 1880, it went on to become one of Britain’s greatest travel interchanges. In 1969, it closed due to an increase in car-use and changes in the surrounding rail network. Central station was given listed building status but was derelict for almost 20 years, until purchased by Greater Manchester County Council, in 1982. Work then started on the first ever urban regeneration project. Opened by the Queen in 1986, the Greater Manchester Exhibition and Event Centre (GMEX), hosted some of Manchester's music legends including, The Smiths, The Happy Mondays and Oasis. The centre symbolised the city’s emergence into a stronger and changing economic landscape. Since 2007, GMEX and MICC were re-branded as Manchester Central Convention Complex and in 2009 a £30 million overhaul was completed and took the venue onto a world stage in conferencing and events. #TransformationTuesday #ManchesterCentral #Manchester #Architecture

It has been a pleasure to see Alister's designs come to life in so many buildings and his ability to create a unique and memorable brand. (Amongst endless other skills...). He has made a significant impact during his time with us and shall be missed greatly. We wish him the very best of luck in his future endeavours!
